If you have a Sweetheart to share Valentines Day with, you are blessed, but if you do not have a Spouse or special someone you are still blessed. You have the One who loves you more than anyone possibly could. His name is Jesus. Have a blessed Valentines Day.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him
Have you ever been on an airplane when the weather was bad? Maybe it is stormy with rain, thunder and lightning. You along with the other passengers are frightened. The plane even drops a few feet and some of your seat mates even let out a little scream. Now the fear even becomes greater, then the pilot takes the plane to a higher level and all of a sudden you are above the clouds looking down.
From this height you see the sunshine. Those dark clouds that frightened you just minutes before now look beautiful. Looking on them now they are fluffy and white. What is the difference? The pilot took the plane above the storm. He was there all the time and knew exactly what to do and how to get you through the storm.
Jesus is the Christian’s pilot. He knows the storm you may be going through. He is there all the time. Directing your path. He can go with you through the storm and will take you through it until you reach the sunshine and He will show you the beauty that comes after the storm passes.
Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
The Bible tells us that all things work together for good. Have you ever wondered how?
How can the death of a loved one, loss of job, fires, hurricanes, car crashes and many other disasters be good?
Truthfully, we cannot understand it. But, we must trust in God to bring about His purpose in our lives.
Look closely at the verse. It is for those of us who love God, and have accepted Jesus as our Savior. God is using this circumstance in our life to bring about His purpose.
Jesus promises to go with us through every trial. He is the Comforter, our Guide, our Savior. He will never leave us or forsake us. We have a great and mighty God. Trust Him as you go through this difficulty.
SOS Events volunteer, Patty, with 2 girls who accepted Jesus as their Savior, Saturday at the Pioneer Museum, in Dade City, Florida.
There were several more decisions at this event.
It is a great blessing to see people come to the LORD when SOS is at an event.
There are many more opportunities to volunteer with SOS Events. If you desire to witness to others but need more help, please contact us and we will teach you how to witness in a simple non confrontational way.
The joy of leading someone to the LORD cannot be compared to anything else.
And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Psalm 35:9
Your Pastor needs your prayers. Pray he is trusting God for all he says and does. That God fills him with the power of the Holy Spirit. That he has the wisdom and knowledge to communicate God’s Word to the congregation.
Pray that we will hear his message. Pray for lost souls in the church. Many people go to church but do not know Jesus as their Savior.
Whatever you are facing today, Jesus can give you strength to go through a difficult time.
Cast all your cares on Him. The key word is ALL. You can do anything that needs to be done if you are trusting the LORD and His strength to help you through it.
Have you ever had a flashlight that shines brightly because it has new batteries?
Then after a while it gets dimmer because the batteries are running out of power. Soon, no light shines at all. The batteries are totally out of power.
Is your Christian life like that? When you first got saved you told everyone about Jesus and your new life. Then things started to distract you and your light got dimmer.
After a while you no longer tell people about Jesus. You fear rejection or you are to busy. You have lost your power and your light is no longer shining brightly.
Confess your sin and ask forgiveness. Jesus wants to give you power of the Holy Spirit to shine for Him.
SOS Events had the privilege of setting up a booth at the Jeep Show at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Plant City, FL on Saturday.
God blessed the volunteers as they presented the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. People stopped by to listen and 2 attendees received Jesus as their Savior.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12
Do you take time with God everyday? The best time is first thing in the morning to start your day with Him.
It may be difficult for you to do. Busy getting ready for work, school or children needing attention.
Try getting up earlier before anyone else is awake. If that doesn’t work for you, set aside a different time for fellowship with God. Maybe on your lunch break, or when the kids are napping.
Not convenient? After dinner in the evening is good.
Whatever time you find is best for you, the important thing is that you take time everyday. Jesus desires time with you and you need Him.
Make it a habit. Do not let anything distract you from your time of prayer and worship. You will be blessed.
