America’s Independence Day is just 3 days away. There are many Bible verses about freedom.
The first freedom that is the most important in our lives, no matter where we live, is the freedom from sin. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are truly free from the eternal punishment of our sin.
We are assured of a home in Heaven and not the final death in the lake of fire. Praise the Lord for freedom from the punishment of sin. We are truly free.
Revelation 15&16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
After the rain, God gives a beautiful rainbow. Yesterday, over the lake in Florida one of the wonderful rainbows appeared.
It reminds us of the promises of God:
Genesis 9:11-15 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
This image made me smile. Today we are still hearing gloom and doom messages from everywhere. Coronavirus, riots, violence, sickness, and death.
Are you tired of all the uncertainty? Good news! God is in control. We can trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Tomorrow is Father’s Day in the USA. God tells us to honor our Father, Mother and also our neighbor. What can we do to show honor to the ones that are closest to us?
Respect, good manners, listening and helping are ways we can show honor. We should not need a special day to show honor to anyone, but everyday should be a day to honor the ones we love.
The Maker of Heaven and Earth is for us. (Psalm 146:6) The King of Glory is for us. (Psalm 24:8) The Sovereign Lord is for us. (Psalm 68:19-20) The Creator of the universe is for us. (Genesis 1:1) Our Great God is for us. (Psalm 95:3) The Most High is for us. (Psalm 91:1) Our Compassionate Lord is for us. (Psalm 116:5) The Prince of Peace is for us. This image shows people helping one another and working together to improve their surroundings. As Christians we need to pray for unity of people in our neighborhood, state and the world.
