February 3, 2020

“Life with Christ is endless love; without Him it is loveless end.” Billy Graham

I John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

February, A Month Of Love

February 1, 2020

We think of February as the month of love because of Valentines Day. We are going to focus on true love this month, the love of God. Many verses in the Bible talk about Love and we are going to look at many of them in the coming days.

1 John 4:16 – And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Gifts

December 13, 2019

The next 11 days for a lot of people will be the busiest time of year preparing for that perfect Christmas gift. Shopping in crowded stores, looking at catalogs, shopping on line.

The best gift you can give anyone is telling them about Jesus. For your unsaved friend, coworker or relative their best gift would be receiving Jesus as their Savior.

For your Christian loved ones a time of fellowship, a phone call or a message. Your time is more precious than any gift you could possibly buy.

Enjoy the Christmas season but don’t forget the best gift ever given…..Jesus.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that HE gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Mistletoe, A Christmas Symbol

December 7, 2019

Mistletoe symbolizes the love we are able to offer to others only because of Christ who “first loves us.” This year, tell your kids about the true meaning of mistletoe. Be sure to let them know that the corresponding kiss is a symbol of peace, romance and the love of a Heavenly Father who we need to rely on in order to find abundant life.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

For All SOS Events Teams

October 23, 2019

Several of SOS Events Leaders and Volunteers are going through some difficult times. Illness, death of loved ones, financial problems and family difficulties. This beautiful poem is to encourage each one. Also, to ask for prayer for all the SOS Events volunteers. God did not promise freedom from trials even when we are faithfully serving Him, but He does show His love to us and comforts us in our trials.

2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

A Favorite Hymn

September 17, 2019
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
T’was blind but now I see
T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils and snares
We have already come.
T’was grace that brought us safe thus far
And grace will lead us home,
And grace will lead us home
Amazing grace, Howe Sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
T’was blind but now I see

A Wonderful Promise

September 9, 2019

God is amazing. We can travel all over the world, in the air, by sea or car and God is there watching over us, protecting us and loving us. We can have fellowship with Him wherever we are. What a wonderful promise.

Vacations

July 8, 2019

Many of us are going on vacations this time of year. We take time from our routine to “get away”. God never slumbers or goes on vacation. He is always there watching over us and taking care of us. This morning take a minute to Thank Him for His Omnipresence.

Psalms 121:2&3 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

The Cross

April 19, 2019

John 19:17 & 18 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
