SOS Events at Alabama National Fair

Jams Dean Festival in Fairmount, Indiana has now ended. 35 Salvations were recorded. In this picture is Alice and a young family. The Mom and Dad made a decision to follow Jesus at the Festival. Special thanks to Scott and Joyce, SOS Events Indiana Team Leaders, and Liberty Baptist Church in Sweetser for the many things they did to make this event successful. Also, thank you to New Hope Baptist Church in Gas City for their faithful support. Both these churches have helped and supported SOS Events for many years. The goal is to win people to the Lord and God once again has blessed. All the glory goes to Him.

Apple Dumpling Festival
October 1, 2018
Stephanie Curtis and Connie set up a SOS Events booth at the Apple Dumpling Festival in Delta, Ohio on Saturday. 9 people were saved. Praise the Lord!!! This Ohio Team is just getting started and Christians in the Toledo area would be blessed to join with them to win people to the Lord at events. SOS Events at the Fair
September 29, 2018Day 1 of 11: SOS Events at Fair with 17 decisions for Christ (9 salvations and 8 assurances). 4 others weren’t quite ready and we are praying for and following up with all of them. Also had 4 Pastors take pastor packets wanting to get their church trained on SOS. Praise the Lord! Thank you for volunteering Kathy Royal, Jessica Fleming, Carl Norton and leader Patty Mills. Shout out to Cindy McDonald for already starting on follow up! Great 1st night – 10 to go. Keep praying! @ Alabama National Fair. God gives the increase.

Fellowship

On Saturday was a good time of fellowship when several of SOS Events Senior Servants gathered together to have this photo taken at the Birthday Party in honor of Sarah’s 80th Birthday. Her family held a surprise party at her church. SOS Events is not only a ministry to serve the Lord but the friendships that have developed over the years are one of the many blessings God gives when we serve Him.

Community Event
September 11, 2018Fourteen people made salvation decisions at a Community Event in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Steve Slater, team leader, trained two couples and they went to their first event. What a wonderful example of how God uses the “3 Things God Can Not Do” to led people to the Lord and give confidence to new soul winners. The highlight of the day was when a uniformed police officer took time to come into the SOS Events booth to be saved. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness as we Serve Our Savior. He brings the increase.

Opportunities
September 8, 2018Today there are many events that are taking place in several different states. Alabama, Florida and Pennsylvania teams will be busy witnessing and soul winning with SOS Events Ministry. Please be in prayer for the Team Leaders, Volunteers and most importantly the unsaved people attending these events. May the workers be filled with the Holy Spirit and the unsaved be drawn to hear about Jesus and receive Him as their Savior.

Senior Servants
September 7, 2018On the first Thursday of every month, a wonderful group of ladies volunteer to help with the SOS Events newsletter. This group started out with 3 ladies who wanted to work for the Lord but could no longer get out. Now our Senior Servants Group has grown to about 25, from several different churches and denominations. They are not all seniors. It is great to see Christians from different places, backgrounds and churches work together and enjoy the food and fellowship. (This is one of three tables of ladies yesterday)

Don’t Quit!
September 5, 2018Sometimes we do not feel like doing something that we know God wants us to do. On Wednesday especially the SOS Events team that goes to the Plant City Flea Market 52 weeks a year must get tired and feel like quitting. Getting there before sunrise to set up, then the extreme heat of Florida summers could make anyone want to quit. BUT, they do not. And God blesses with souls who get saved. Last week 7 people trusted Jesus as Savior. Thank you faithful team members. Your rewards will be in Heaven when you are told, “Well done, faithful servants.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Happy Labor Day
September 3, 2018A special Happy Labor Day to all the Leaders, Volunteers and Staff of SOS Events Ministry who work tirelessly at events and behind the scenes to win souls to Jesus. Thank you to each and everyone of you.
