One of the problems of our nation is that we have replaced our worship of God into a nation that goes after riches. Sadly even many Christians have fallen into the trap. 

Bigger houses, better cars, more money, fancy churches and the true worship of God is put aside because we don’t have time, we are too busy making money and trying to get ahead than to take time to read the Bible and pray everyday. If we want our nation to get back to God it has to start with each of us giving the Lord Jesus the time and worship He desires and deserves.

Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

New Things

September 28, 2015

Two new things are on the SOS Events website that you may have missed. The “3 Things God Can Not Do” is in Spanish on the menu tab Espanol. That has been something that has been needed as the Spanish Division of the ministry has expanded greatly in the last year.

Another addition is “Tom’s Testimony” on the Testimony page. If you have not heard or read how SOS Events founder was saved it is worth a few minutes of your time to read his testimony. God has used this story all over the USA to reach people for Jesus Christ.

To God be the Glory for the new blessings that He pours out on SOS Events.

Prayer

John R. Rice was tremendous preacher many years ago. He wrote songs, books, and tracts. One of his books is “Prayer, Asking and Receiving.” The following quote is one way to help you know how to pray and get your prayers answered.

Shelby Shares

September 26, 2015

Shelby, the Curtis’s granddaughter, had an opportunity to share with her classmates the “3 Things God Can Not Do” at Show and Tell in her third grade class. 

She told them about SOS Events Ministry and finished with the statement, “I want to be just like my Grandpa”

Young children can be a witness for the Lord especially using the tools provided for them by SOS Events.

The 10 Commandments

If in the USA the 10 Commandments were allowed to be posted in our schools and public buildings the crime, chaos and confusion may be kept to a minimum and our Country would be a safer place.

How Shall They Hear?

People from many walks of life get saved at various events. In this picture two SOS Events soulwinners (in the green aprons) with two firefighters who made decisions for Christ at the Country Fair in Pennsylvania.

The Holy Spirit draws them to us. Talking with one of our “new” trainers yesterday, she commented on how great it is to have people come to you. There is no more wonderful experience than to led someone to the Lord.

At events many laborers, children, college students, nurses, elderly, rich and poor have been saved. There are people in your area who need to hear. There is always room for more workers and events, if you would like to join with SOS Events to receive some of the blessings. God Has No Grandchildren

God does not have any grandchildren. God talks many times in the Bible about His children (people who had been born again). Nowhere in the entire Bible is the word grandchild mentioned.Every person who wants to go to Heaven must be born again. You cannot make that decision for anyone but yourself. That is why it is so important to win your family to Christ.

The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way he should go, maybe your children are grown and you have not won them to Christ yet. Maybe it is your parent, sibling or spouse. Never give up, pray for them, be a good example and trust the Holy Spirit to convict them.

At events many times someone, who comes into the SOS EVENTS booth to be saved, tells the soul winner that their mother, father or grandparents have been praying for them.

GOD Answers prayer. He is more interested in your family being saved then you are, so keep on trusting him for the results.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Evangelism

Event Evangelism, Inc. is the legal name of SOS Events Ministry. Those names were chosen very carefully. Event because that is where the Gospel is presented. Evangelism because that is what we do. SOS stands for Serving Our Savior at Events. The goal is to present the Gospel to as many people as possible.

There are many areas that have very little gospel presentation outside the church. Events take place in every community and the opportunities are unlimited. SOS Events  ministry can prepare you to become an effective witness in your area. All it takes is an email or phone call. 

Matthew 9:37 & 38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Firsts

Yesterday, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania a lot of firsts took place.It was the first event for SOS Events New team in Pennsylvania led by Stephanie and Lloyd Dieter.

Schwenkfelder Church in Lansdale, Pennsylvania has an annual event called Country Fair. This year they had an evangelism booth for the first time with the SOS Events team. It was a great success. Thirteen souls were saved.

The very first soul saved was the grandmother of Brandon’s children. It was the first time Brandon had witnessed at an SOS event.

God talks about firsts in the Bible. He wants us to put Him first, give to Him of our income first. He calls it first fruits.

1 Corinthians 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

Joy Over One Sinner

At the Plant City Flea Market this week Alice and Randy , SOS Events missionaries were witnessing when a woman named Judy started talking to Alice.

 “I am a Christian, but my boyfriend is not. He doesn’t want me to go to church on Sundays. I have been praying for his salvation. Here he comes,  he is the one in the blue shirt.”

Alice quickly alerted Randy to speak to the man whose name is Claude. Randy then invited Claude to hear the Gospel and led him into a relationship with the Lord.

There is joy when a person gets saved. Randy, Alice, Judy and Claude all are excited and happy for Claude’s salvation.

Judy did not give up. She prayed for him and saw an opportunity to bring him to a place where he could hear how to be saved. SOS Events has many testimonies of people who are ready to be saved and walk by our display. God draws them to us.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
