Joy Connell, charter member of Senior Servants, SOS Events Ministry, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2017. She along with 2 other ladies came to the first meeting of Senior Servants, August 5, 2010. She rarely missed a monthly meeting since that time. She expressed her love for SOS many times over the years and one of her greatest joys was winning 3 people to the Lord at Strawberry Festival after she learned how to witness using the “3 Things God Can Not Do.” Joy will be greatly missed by all who loved her and especially by her SOS Senior Servant friends.
Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Want to be happy in life? There is an old hymn that says it all; Trust and obey for there’s no other way, To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey. I have included the words because each verse gives us an answer for our problems.
Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.

I Timothy 1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Another terrorist attack in England this time mostly young people were the targets. Out hearts go out to the parents and loved ones of the victims. Pray for the survivors and families who lost someone in this evil act. The world holds many dangers from evil doers but as Christians we must trust the Lord for safety and peace.
Psalms 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Two young men, Jake and Austin, stopped by the SOS Events booth at the NASCAR races yesterday to thank us for leading them to the Lord last year. They were so happy to see that we were in the same place where they got saved. It is a special blessing to have people come back to tell us that they are still following the Lord from prior years. In spite of the rain and cold weather The Lord answered prayer and gave us five people who accepted Christ as their Savior.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
First day at the NASCAR races in Talladega, Alabama. Pray that many race car fans will come to one of the SOS Events booths to be saved during this 3 day event. We Praise the Lord for this great opportunity and thank the Alabama team who have won many people in the past.
Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
A young man who just trusted Jesus as his Savior in the SOS Events booth told the soul winner that he had no family. What a blessing to be able to tell him, “You have a family now, when you asked Jesus to be your Savior you were born again into God’s family and you have brothers and sisters in Christ.” Pray for this man that he will be welcomed into a local church.
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
