October 16, 201613 salvations and 8 assurances total at SOS booth at Eastmonts Yard Sale yesterday in Alabama. Praise the Lord!! More results from the weekend to come in the next few days.

Prayer Request
October 15, 2016Today there are two events in the Florida area. Rattle Snake Festival in San Antonio and Classic Car Show in Lakeland. Both are new events for SOS Events so we covet your prayers. Waking up to a light rain is not encouraging but God can move the rain away before the events start.
Please pray for souls to be saved and that the events will not be cancelled. If you have followed this blog you know that two of the big events were cancelled last weekend due to rain. God still blessed and as we look at what He has done in the past we know He once again will bless our efforts.

October 14, 2016Sometimes we are disappointed when only one or two people get saved at an event. Wednesday at the flea market in Plant City, FL there were two decisions. The weather was beautiful and we were praying for that event. Then we remember this wonderful Bible verse:
Two Birthdays
October 13, 2016Today is one of my son’s birthday. It is wonderful to celebrate the day he was born, but there is a more important day that is celebrated in our family. That is the day that he was born again. We celebrate his life here on earth and that is wonderful, but the real joy is knowing that we will be able to spend eternity together.

Success
October 11, 2016Monday in Appomattox Virginia at Bible Baptist church was a great success. Beka, did a great job training two men from West Virginia, while Carolyn spoke to a group of ladies at 10 AM.
In the evening, a group of about 40 ladies came to hear Carolyn speak on “Making a Difference.”Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Disappointed?
October 9, 2016Have you ever been disappointed or discouraged? We must remember God is in control of every situation.
This weekend SOS Events had two large events scheduled and both were cancelled on Saturday because of heavy wind and rain. That meant that no one would be saved at these events. We know that it is God’s will to have people be saved so why the bad weather? Then we remember, He is in control.
Our team member Stephanie drove from Pennsylvania to New Jersey but was it a waste? No. She had opportunity to meet several people from the NJ team and that will open future doors for her.
Carolyn and Beka drove from Florida to Virginia to oversee a new team. Today, they are hoping to be able to witness at the event after church if the tent and materials have not been distroyed by the heavy winds yesterday. Waste of time and effort? Absolutely not. Family is in the area and there was time for fellowship and a total day of rest which was needed. God can do in a few hours today what all of us would have done over the whole weekend. And if not, we still will trust Him and Praise the Lord for His goodness.
As He delivered the 3 men from the fiery furnace, He is able to turn disappointment into joy. God cannot change.
Daniel 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
Answered Prayer
October 6, 2016God answers prayer. Yesterday at the Plant City Flea Market things were slow. By 10:00 o’clock not one person had been saved and the crowd was sparse. In the morning we had asked for prayer from you who read the blog and I prayed specifically that God would bless us with 3 or more souls.
God is faithful and when Alice got back to the office she reported that 4 people were saved. Praise the Lord for answered prayer and for the people who were saved. Alice is in the center with 2 of the girls who made decisions.

Mid Week
October 5, 2016Mid week for some people is a time to look forward to the weekend to relax and enjoy free time. For those of us at SOS Events ministry it is a time to look forward to seeing souls come to salvation.
Please pray for the weekly Wednesday Plant City Flea Market, going on as this is being written. Pray for the workers that they will be filled with the Holy Spirit and that the Lord will bring people to the booth to be saved.
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
