This past week a young lady named Marci came to our table at Plant City. I asked her if she knew if she were to die today if she would go to heaven and she did not know but wanted to know. I introduce her to Ramona and she shared the gospel with her. When Ramona read the example prayer we have on our tract, the lady “at that moment” prayed that very prayer and called on the Lord. Ramona asked her, “Did you just pray that prayer?” and she smiled and said yes! They both rejoiced!
This is a salvation story from Randy and Romona Thomas, missionaries of SOS Events ministry. The Plant City Flea Market is every Wednesday and hundreds of people are saved each year at this event. To God be the Glory for His faithfulness. When we go to witness God brings the results for He is not willing that anyone perish.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

“We ought to be living as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back this afternoon.” Adrian Rogers
2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

What would you do differently if you knew Jesus was coming today?
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

“Don’t put your Pastor on a pedestal where he can be knocked off, put him on your prayer list where he can be lifted up.”
Today most of us will be going to church to worship our Savior, and the Pastor has the responsibility to feed his flock, preach to the unsaved and lift up the broken-hearted. He needs your prayers. Pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit on your Pastor today. Put your Pastor’s name at the end of the following verse:
Romans 15:30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

“I don’t understand it. The stint that I put in is nonviable. There is no blood going through it at all, but your leg is warm, there is no swelling, blood is flowing and your incisions are healing.” spoken by Tom’s surgeon this week. Then he went on to explain how over the months the little vessels have expanded and taken over the blood flow of the vein that has been removed. There are no main veins going to the lower leg and foot and still the circulation is improving.
Then the great statement from a doctor that is not a Christian. “Only God could have done that. He created your body to compensate for the loss.”
Sometimes we wonder why things happen and why it take so long to see results of prayer. It took months for those little vessels to expand. Ordinarily they would have burst like a balloon with too much air but instead they expanded. God is healing but on His timetable not ours. Waiting is always hard but God is in control.
Please pray for Tom that healing will complete. There is still several months of treatment and some plastic surgery in the future. Also, pray for this doctor and the plastic surgeon to be saved.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

“The reason that Christianity is the best friend of government is because Christianity is the only religion that changes the heart.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States of America. Although he did not claim to be a born again Christian, he did study Christianity. The principal author of the Declaration of Independence included religious freedom as an important part of our rights as citizens.
From the above quote we see that Jefferson realized that God does change the heart, but from his writings and observations of others, we do not know if he ever accepted Christ as his Savior.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Today many children will be looking forward to tomorrow when they will celebrate Easter with egg hunts, baskets filled with candy, the Easter bunny and maybe a day that they will be with family and friends. Something is missing.
The most important reason why all these things are in their lives: the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The focus should be on Him. Make sure that the true meaning does not get lost in all the preparations and plans.
My favorite memory of Easter is my grandmother taking me to a sunrise service outside looking over a beautiful view from on top of a hill. Then we would go to breakfast and on to church where the hymns about Jesus would be sung and the resurrection story would be told.
We serve a risen Savior, let us make sure He is first in our celebration on Easter Sunday.
Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Joni Erickson Tada had a terrible accident that left her a quadriplegic. In spite of her physical limitations she became an accomplished author and artist. Over 25 years ago she married her husband, Ken. For her wedding she had planned to come down the center aisle in her motorized wheel chair. Just before her grand entrance she noticed two distressing problems. First, she had rolled over her beautiful gown and made a big grease spot and tear in it. Then, the flowers in her lap had slipped and had lodged between her leg and the chair. She was filled with disappointment, and then suddenly the doors to the auditorium opened, and she saw her husband to be.
Here was the man who was committing his love and his life to her. Joni later said, “Once I saw Ken’s face, all I could think of was him. Everything else—the people in the church, the flowers that were sitting a little askew on my lap, the fact that my dress didn’t fall right because I was sitting in a wheelchair, the grease marks, the rip in my gown all of it paled in comparison.”
When we we see Christ, He will be all that matters to us.
Matthew 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
