Jesus met with His disciples in an upper room that a man allowed them to use for Passover.
Jesus washed the disciples feet knowing thar Judas will betray Him.
Jesus gave the disciples bread. They ask Him, “ Is it I?” He told Judas it is him and Judas leaves.
Then Jesus continued with the bread and wine. Jesus told the disciples to do this is remembrance of Him.
We now observe Jesus death, burial and resurrection by participating in Communion. It is a time for us to reflect and confess any sin in our life and thank Jesus for His body and blood a sacrifice for our sin.
Communion is not for salvation. It is for Christians to remember Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life.
Luke 22:19-22 – And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Did Jesus get angry? Yes, rightfully. Greedy people were selling sacrifice animals in the temple. These merchants where talking advantage of the people who came to worship in the temple.
Jesus called them thieves. They must have been selling animals at prices that were more than the animals were worth.
Not only that, the temple was a place for prayer, not merchandise. These merchants were a distraction for the people who wanted to worship.
It is a lesson to us as true believers. Do we allow the love of money or anything else distract us from worshipping God as we should? It is a good time to search our own hearts and make sure that nothing stands in our way when we worship.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7: 13&14
That is a good question. If you are a Christian it is your responsibility to tell others about Jesus.
Do not let people drown in their sin. The life saving news is this. Jesus died on the cross, was buried for 3 days and rose from the dead.
If they trust Him, whose blood cleanses us from all sin they will be saved.
Wonderful news. Be sure to tell someone at every opportunity.
“That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
Some people think little children are too young to be saved. Jesus said to bring the children to Him. It is our responsibility as Christians to make sure the children we are blessed to have a relationship with know about Jesus.
What a blessing to have young children come to Jesus at an early age. They have their whole lives to serve Him.
Mark 10:14 – But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
Tracts are very effective. Many Christians have been saved reading a tract, either along with someone witnessing or them or picking one up and reading it on their own.
Carolyn Curtis is a good example. She was given a tract the morning she was on the way to Niagara Falls to end her life. While getting up the courage to jump in, she read the tract, prayed the prayer on the back and was gloriously saved. Since that time many have come to the Lord through her witness.
One tract can change a life. You can be the one to give a tract to someone in person, leave one in the restroom, at a store, restaurant or any public place. Put one in a library book, in a shoe box at a shoe store.
Be creative. Think of a place to leave a tract and pray someone will find it who needs the Lord. It is a life changing opportunity.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1 KJV)
Justified. What does that mean. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, it means in God’s eyes that we have never sinned.
God sees us through the blood of Christ. All our sin has been washed away.
Are you justified? If not ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sin. Believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. Repent of all your sin and begin a new life following Our Savior.
God is preparing a place for those of us who has accepted Jesus as our Savior.
We. Can be 100% sure we will go to Heaven.
