Today is Election Day in Florida. We as citizens of the State have the privilege to cast our vote for the person we feel is the one who will better represent us in government. What a wonderful opportunity.
Maybe you don’t feel like you have freedom right now. For months we have been restricted on most activities in the USA due to coronavirus. In other countries lack of personal freedom my be a way of life.
Good News! We have freedom in Jesus. We are His children if we have trusted Him as our Savior. Our citizenship is not in this world, our citizenship is in Heaven. We are free.
Do you get tired of waiting? Waiting for answer to a prayer. Waiting to get a job. Waiting for coronavirus to go away. Waiting to see family and friends. Waiting to feel better.
There are many times in our lives we wait. Usually impatiently. But, God tells us to wait on Him and He will bring it to pass in His timing.
God knows what is best for us and when it is best for us. Today while you are waiting for whatever, take the time to draw closer to God. His blessing is just around the corner.
This story may or may not be true, but it is something to think about. As Christians we must be careful how we treat others. Sometimes our attitude, can make a huge difference in another’s life. Do we forgive others who make a mistake? Are we friendly, kind and helpful to those we come in contact with? Look around and see if you can be the difference in someone’s life today.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Most churches are open. There may be restrictions or procedures that may make us feel uncomfortable, however, it is important to go to church if you are able.
It is so easy to stay home, especially after a long period of time when we did not get out. We need spiritual food and fellowship of other Christians.
So today, put away your fear and frustration with the rules and if you have no health problems, get ready and go to church. You will be blessed.
If you really cannot go physically, most churches are having virtual services. Make sure to watch and let the Lord speak to you.
God sent the Holy Spirit to give us the power to witness and win souls. With most events closed due to the coronavirus, we need to be more diligent to look for opportunities to witness.
It is not the command to the pastor in the church. It is not a time for ministries like SOS Events to forget about soul winning.
God expects all Christians to be a witness for Him. Are you using the power God gave you?
You may feel like the one who is about to fall into the hole, or you are helping to carry your friend, neighbor and fellow Christian. At this time of uncertainty and confusion, we need lift one another in prayer.
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; Ephesians 1:16
-I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men. 1 Timothy 2:1
In Disney’s movie Bambi, Thumper gives some good advice about how we speak to one another.
The Bible tells us many times to be careful of our words. The old expression, “sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me” is not true.
Our words can wound, discourage and cause great harm or can encourage, lift up and make someone’s day a blessing. Let us ask God to help us speak kind and thoughtful words.
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
