Residents of Florida and the East Coast are preparing for a tropical storm named Colin. June 1st, hurricane season starts. Many people fear these storms and it is right to take precautions, however, as Christians we know that the Lord is in control.
We also have “storms” in our lives for which we have no control, but He is the only One who can control every situation with those words, “Peace be still.” Whatever the storm is for you today or in the future if it be physical, mental or spiritual turn to Jesus to calm your fears and bring peace to your heart.
How to Please God
June 4, 2016Going through some papers of Founder of SOS Events, Tom Curtis, I found this statement:
“You are not pleasing God if you are not bringing people to Christ.”
The question is, Are you pleasing God? Every Christian should have a desire to witness and win souls.
Tom Curtis was a great example to all of us to be soul winners. The last day in the hospital and only 6 days before he went to Heaven he won 2 doctors and a nurse to the Lord and had a steady stream of hospital staff come to bid him goodbye and tell him that they had been saved through his testimony and witness.

Time
May 23, 2016A beautiful antique clock was given to me as a gift recently. Clocks are one of the things I enjoy and different sounds are heard on every hour in my home.
Time passes swiftly, however, and those sounds are a reminder to keep busy doing the work that the Lord has called us to do. There will be a time, maybe sooner than we think, that the door will close on our freedom to tell others about Jesus openly. Let us not let opportunities slip by without witnessing and working for the Lord.
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
SOS EVENTS FUTURE
May 21, 20161 Chronicles 4:10And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
The prayer of Jabez was granted by the Lord and God never changes. The Board of Directors of SOS EVENTS are trusting Him to bless the ministry, with more souls, more missionaries, more soulwinners and enlarge the boarders of SOS EVENTS.
Tom Curtis will be missed but SOS EVENTS ministry was founded by the Holy Spirit to win people to the Lord and Tom’s desire is that those of us who work together in the ministry will not only continue but with the guidance af the Lord expand and be even more faithful an diligent to bring souls to Christ.

Your Salvation
May 5, 2016A wonderful evangelist of the last century was John R. Rice. He was a great man of God, the founder of the Christian newspaper Sword of the Lord, song writer, author and soul winner. His wisdom which came from God and the Bible is reflected in the following quote.

Bitter or Better

Hot, Cold or Lukewarm
April 26, 2016The church is not the way to heaven; the church is the sign that points to heaven.” – Adrian Rogers
This week witnessing to a man in the hospital, he said he was angry with the church that he attended because he was always asked to give money. He wanted nothing to do with church or God because of a bad experience with a clergyman.
How sad that some denominations and some churches think more of money and church attendance than they do of winning people to the Lord. In this particular instance the church was not a Bible believing church but trusted in tradition and ritual. But sometimes even our “good” churches focus on programs instead of winning souls to the Lord. God sent His Son, Jesus, for one reason, to die so that we might have eternal life and have a home in Heaven. It must break the heart of God that we have become lukewarm and He will hold each church and individual responsible for what we have done for Him.
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
