Intimacy with God requires a repentant heart. In His love, God says when we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to cleanse us. That cleansing restores our fellowship with Him.
God hates sin because He is Holy and Righteous. Sin is anything we have done that God has commanded us not to do.
All have sinned and come short. You can watch a small child only months old and already they are sinners. Selfishness and disobedience. They will be playing and grab a toy from another child, hit or bite.
Jesus paid the penalty for all our sins if we by faith ask His forgiveness, repent of our sin and put our trust in Him.
God created us, but we are not His children until we are born into His family. Jesus said, “Ye must be born again.”
How? You may be asking. First, Admit you have sinned. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Believe on the Lord Jesus. That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Call upon the Lord. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
When we have trusted Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes into our heart (spirit) and we are born again.
We are then joint heirs with Jesus! Sure of Heaven and all the wonders that will be ours.
Some are tall, others short, some thin others heavy.
We see the mothers with small children to the elderly which have a hard time getting around. People of all colors, from the very fair skin to the darkest golden brown.
Some dress in expensive clothing while others are tattered, and some wear hardly any clothes at all. What a variety of people on the earth and God gave life to them all.
However, that He gave them life at birth does not mean they will live with Him in Heaven for all eternity. To get to Heaven no matter what their status on earth they (and you) must be born again.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The way the world is today, we wonder why God allows sin, wars, murders and all kind of evil to continue.
God wants all people to be saved. He is long suffering so everyone has opportunity to hear the gospel.
However, the time will come when He will be done and the door will shut and you will no longer be able to come to know Jesus. If you have not made the decision to accept Jesus as your Savior, do it today before it’s too late.
If you are a Christian it is your responsibility to be a witness to others. Do you want to stand before GOD empty handed?
It is not really a secret at all. It is the acronym is JOY!
JESUS, OTHERS and YOU. Put Jesus first, others 2nd and yourself last. That is a recipe for true joy in your life.
Jesus is the true source of joy, even in the most difficult circumstances. If you put others ahead of yourself it is hard to have a pity party. Finally, you will get to think of yourself, but then you go back to the first, Jesus.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25
Do you need to be encouraged today? Looking for something to lift your spirits?
Search You Tube for some old hymns. Listen and sing along.
“The Old Rugged Cross”. “Victory In Jesus”. “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” “How Great Thou Art” “When We All Get To Heaven”. There are many more hymns and spiritual songs that are being forgotten.
The Bible tells us to sing unto the Lord. It is hard to be discouraged when we are singing, especially those songs that have meaning and honor the name of Jesus.
Do you find it hard to love some people? Maybe it is a fellow worker, a disagreeable neighbor, someone in your family, a person of another race or religion.
It is a natural reaction to not love someone who has hurt you, but that is the problem. It is a “natural” reaction. The Bible tells us in Ephesians as Christians to put off the old man which is corrupt and put on the new man, which is holy.
How then do we overcome the lack of love in our lives? Start to pray for that person if it is an individual. Ask God to change your heart if it is a group of people.
We cannot be an obedient Christian or have God’s blessings if we have hate in our heart.
