1 Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Do you know the questions to ask when witnessing to someone about how to get to Heaven?
Questions are so important. We can tell others about Jesus, how he paid for their sins when He died on the cross. He was buried and 3 days later He arose. Then we do not go any farther.
We have to ask the right question to lead them to ask forgiveness for their sin and invite Jesus to be their Savior.
Unsure of how to do that? What questions do you need to ask?
SOS Events Ministry can teach you how to ask the right questions and lead people to the Lord in a simple, nonconfrontational way. We have the answers to the questions.
You can come to one of SOS Events Trainings in person. If that is not possible, training is also on the Website.
Learn to be an effective witness and go and tell others the Good News
God once again blessed the SOS Events volunteers at the Plant City Flea Market yesterday.
7 people responded to the Gospel and trusted Jesus as their Savior.
God is faithful. He wants people to repent and be saved. It is the Holy Spirit who brings them in.
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 KJV
Have you ever had therapy for a broken bone or strained muscle? That can be painful but necessary for complete healing.
We sometimes need spiritual therapy. We have not been seeking God for the difficult time in our lives. We find ourselves blaming God for our trouble or difficulties.
What is the remedy for a broken spirit? God’s Word. Prayer. Repentance. Not just a little bit but every day consistently. Sometimes it hurts, but we need to keep on doing it.
God is faithful. Just as He heals a broken body, He also can heal a broken heart.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Psalm 34:18
Thinking of something to encourage those who read this blog, I chose a book on hymns, “Then Sings My Soul” by Robert J. Morgan. He wrote a forward “The Cure For Shot Nerves”. Thinking that is a catchy title, I read what he wrote about how the old hymns can calm the spirit and help bring peace to the soul.
It is rare in some churches to even hear the old hymns anymore and that is sad. “In the Garden” He walks with me/ and He talks with me/ and tells me I am His own. “Jesus Loves Me”, “Amazing Grace”, “I Need Thee Every Hour” and many more that encourage the heart.
Today, if you are stressed, feeling overwhelmed, or just plan discouraged, think of your favorite hymn and sing it, hum it or just let it flood your mind with how good God is, and soon you will find the comfort you need.
Once again, God blessed the SOS Events Ohio Team with 15 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior on Friday Evening.
To God Be the Glory for the blessings He bestows on the volunteers for SOS Events.
It was a rough start for this team the first few weeks with extreme weather conditions, mostly rain and heat, but now things seem better and the Car Show continues until Fall. Please pray for Friday evenings in Ohio. No delays or cancellations.
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 3:11
