Praise the Lord for 106 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior at James Dean Days. The weather did not want to cooperate as it was windy and rainy some of the 3 days, but God blessed the efforts of the SOS Events Team.
Ed, Rhonda and their son traveled from Ohio to Indiana with their 2 classic cars. God blesses this Team for all they do. Faithful witnesses for the Lord.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3
Sunday was a time for worship, family and quiet activities. Church was the priority. A special time to worship God. Almost everyone went to church.
No stores were open, it was a rare occasion when anyone went out to a restaurant to eat as most of them were closed.
No Sunday sports. No parties, and activities. It was a time when family got together. Usually a big dinner at home. Fellowship around the table where the children had opportunity to talk to parents about their experiences.
Then maybe a nap, board games, reading or quiet activity. Boring you might think. No. A time to put things into the proper order. A day of peacefulness.
In today’s society we are too busy. Church for many is not important. Parents run to do errands. Children have outside activities or the go to their room to get on social media.
We will never go back to those “old fashioned” Sundays, but let us take time for some of the things that made them special.
Worship the Lord first. Take time with your family. Put aside the busyness of work and pressure that causes stress. Make Sunday a day for memories with your family.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6
This hymn is perfect for those who are in the path of a storm. It can be a storm like a hurricane or a storm in your life, rest in the Lord, Jesus.
Till the Storm Passes By
In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face, While the storm howls above me, and there’s no hiding place. ‘Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry, Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Refrain: Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more, Till the clouds roll forever from the sky; Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand, Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Many times Satan whispered, “There is no need to try, For there’s no end of sorrow, there’s no hope by and by” But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I’ll rise Where the storms never darken the skies.
When the long night has ended and the storms come no more, Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore; In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.
A Storm is coming. In Florida and surrounding States a Storm warning has been issued. . Schools, Businesses, and Government departments are all closed. People preparing, extra food, water and basic needs are taken care of in waiting the fast moving storm.
We are prepared for whatever the storm brings in its path.
The question is are we prepared for the Storms of life? Illness, death, loss of relationships and many other things can come up that we are not prepared for.
There is a way we can prepare for any situation in our life. Trusting Jesus is what we need. He is the way to salvation. He will comfort in times of distress.
Are you ready?
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Someone captured this beautiful photo. Who it was is unknown but maybe God wants us to be reminded that Jesus is coming in the clouds and we who are redeemed by trusting in His death, burial and resurrection will meet Him in the air.
We do not know the day nor the hour but it may be soon. Are you ready?
1 Thessalonians 4:16 – 4:17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Beautiful day under the SOS Events Ministry tent at the Wedowee Fall Bazaar!
We are so thrilled to have our new volunteer Ron Burdette join us today with his sweet daughters , these girls worked hard handing out tracts and at the end of the day practiced doing the board.
Ron did a great job at the “3 Things God Can Not Do” board and is excited to do more events.
We are so excited to see 3 people give their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and come out of darkness into His Glorious light.
2 young men come back to learn more about scripture shared and will receive a Bible study.
To God be the Glory for these precious souls saved today!!
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8
What a blessing! The classic car that was donated to SOS Events Ministry was at the Plant City Car Show for the first time on Saturday.
The excitement of having the First Car Show was evident in the volunteers as they talked to people about the “3 Things God Can Not Do.”
God blessed their efforts with 7 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior.
A special thank you to the couple who donated the car, the Team who has committed to be drivers and volunteers at future car shows.
Please pray with us, that God will continue to use this vehicle as a tool to led people to Jesus.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. Acts 28:31
Beth and Wes Walker, Alabama Team Leaders was able to share a SOS Ministry Presentation at Delta Baptist church..
There were around 50 people that came out to hear how this ministry works at events in and around our area. You know it’s going to be a blessing when you have worship and church before you even get started.
The precious Holy Spirit moved in that beautiful church and hearts were ministered to. Delta Baptist church is so blessed to have Pastor Clay who has a heart for lost souls and a desire to see people saved in his church but also outside the walls of the church and the Gospel message to be shared with everyone.
We were thrilled with the response of those attending and their willingness to open their hearts to hear our stories and to see how SOS reaches people that come by the ministry tent. We are looking forward to seeing how God uses this presentation to bring His plan together and to bring Him Glory.
It was wonderful to see the youth get tracts so they could share with their friends and come by after to talk with us and let us know they were happy we were there.
Everyone attending left with tracts they have planned to give to someone on their hearts.
Thank you again to Pastor Clay and your wonderful congregation for welcoming SOS Events Ministry into your church. God is definitely on the move at Delta Baptist church.
