A special Happy Labor Day to all the Leaders, Volunteers and Staff of SOS Events Ministry who work tirelessly at events and behind the scenes to win souls to Jesus. Thank you to each and everyone of you.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
Recently new neighbors moved into a house close to the SOS Events office. There were toys in the yard, cars in the driveway but no one was ever out in the yard to talk to. Everyone in the office wondered who our new neighbors were. Finally, one morning while passing by their house, Diana, SOS Events office manager, decided to stop by to invite the children to church.
Imagine the surprise when Carolyn walked into the office to find it full of children. Six to be exact, along with their grandmother. Diana had not only invited them to church but led the whole family to the Lord then brought them to the office to meet the rest of the office staff. Soul winning is something that should be on the hearts and minds of every Christian and SOS Events is blessed to have staff that witness not only at events but in our lives everyday.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
These are pictures of our 2nd night at Clay County Rodeo in Ashland, Alabama with SOS Events Ministry. We had a great time at this event and are excited to know it will be a annual event and SOS Events Ministry are welcomed back. We ended the weekend with 10 souls being added to the Kingdom and 14 now have assurance they are 100% sure they are going to Heaven. We talked to 431 people and gave out 425 tracts and all know there were seeds planted and in God’s timing they will be harvested. Thank you to David Rush ,Nan Barnes, Tina Hosey and Cathy Griffen Howard for coming out to volunteer. It was a great weekend Serving Our Savior.

It is Rodeo week, in Alabama this Friday and Saturday August 24th and 25th. Come join us. Lots of fun. Kiddie Zone with inflatables and games. Live music before Friday nights performance. Can’t wait to be a part of this event. SOS Events Ministry will be sharing the Gospel under the tent Friday and Saturday nights. Y’all come on out and join us.

August 17th and 18th was a great weekend for Ronnie Burlison, Team Leader in Alabama. SOS Events Team had a booth at the annual Franklin County Watermelon Festival. There were 115 decisions to follow Jesus. 86 Salvations and 29 assurances of salvation. What a wonderful event. Ronnie also reported that many Christians want to be trained to help in future events. All the Praise goes to the Lord. He saves and works on hearts of unbelievers and well as believers.
Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
SOS Events Ministry trains people to go soul winning in their personal lives. The teams not only go to events but take the gospel to other places as well. Nursing homes, on visitation and witnessing one on one. The following story is from Beth and Wes in Alabama:
“It’s always a great day when SOS Ministry visits the Bill Nichols VA home for our once a month birthday cards. Today was a little different, as we came in a familiar face was missing. He always sat in the lobby over in the corner overalls and a cap on and always a book in his hand. His name was Mr. Foster and we were blessed to know him, we always ended our visit sitting and having great conversations about Jesus. He was a pastor and was always studying the word of God. He loved talking about what he was studying and sometimes tearfully sharing stories of his life. He always took a handful of tracts and continued to hand them out. We found out today Mr. Foster had passed on to glory, his service here on earth was done. I know I should be rejoicing for him but the selfish part of me missed him. I thank God we got to know him and love him.”

Randy Thomas (in the blue shirt) is a faithful SOS Events missionary, a pastor of a church in Lakeland, FL, a husband, father and grandfather. In this photo from a resent Wednesday Morning Flea Market, Randy is witnessing with other SOS Events team members to a large family. Every Wednesday, this Team is at the Flea Market where many people are saved each week. Today is Wednesday and we ask your prayers for many people to accept Jesus as their Savior, today.

Jackie, Ursula, Annie and Alice went to a Backpack giveaway hosted by Verizon and the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce on Saturday. Carolyn and Ron also braved the 90 plus degree heat to witness. God blessed with 10 Salvations. SOS Events loves these kind of events because parents are with their children and many adults trust in Jesus as their Savior.

Genesee County fair ended this weekend. 66 people asked the Lord to save them. A team of Christians from Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, NY were trained to partner with SOS Events and went to the fair. Their goal was 100 souls and God blessed them with 66. It is great to set a goal because we work harder to reach it than we would with no goal at all. Thank you team members from Calvary for your faithful witness.
