Sometimes a weekend will come with no scheduled events for SOS Events Ministry. What should we do? Tom Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events said, “Getting up in the morning is an event”. Then he would go somewhere and find someone to tell about Jesus. He was a great soul winner and a good example to follow.
Wherever you go today, make it an event.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
I SOS Events motto is “A Life Saving Ministry”. Our goal is to tell people of their need of a Savior, Jesus, and lead them from spiritual death into eternal life. Events are the place where we witness. At large events like NASCAR races and Florida Strawberry Festival and small events like fall festivals in church yards. God has blessed and many people are saved each week through this ministry. You can be a part up by volunteering, praying and giving. SOS Events need you.

All kinds of people come to an SOS Events booth. Some young, others old, boys, girls, men, women and even strange characters. Part of the excitement of volunteering to witness at an event is not knowing who God will send our way. God rewards our faithfulness and people are saved at events.

Saturday, SOS Events had a booth at the Seffner Chamber of Commerce event in Seffner, Florida. At first it seemed that we would not have many people stop to check out the “3 Things God Can Not Do” display board, but although the crowd was sparse, it was a successful event. God blessed and 13 people trusted Jesus as their Savior. God honors faithfulness of his workers.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
It is amazing that people from over 92 Countries, some countries we have never heard of, have viewed SOS Events website. The gospel has reached them through the blog and Bible Studies. God has used this venue to reach people that would be impossible to reach in person.
Originally, the goal of SOS Events Ministry was to spread the Gospel to the USA, but God has enlarged our territory through social media. Pray with us for more people daily to get on the website and trust Jesus as their Savior.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Tom Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, went home to be with his Lord 3 years ago today. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather but most of all he loved the Lord with all his heart. A tremendous soul winner. His goal was to see as many people accept Jesus as their Savior as he could possibly tell, then to teach and train others how to witness for the Lord. In spite of pain and physical illness he never failed to try to reach his goal and he witnessed to everyone he came in contact with until the day he left this earth to be with his Savior. SOS Events Ministry thrives today because of his vision and dedication. We miss him but are blessed to have had him in our lives.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Thank the Lord for holding off the rain so we could set up the SOS Events Ministry tent at the Clay County Fair. In just 3 1/2 hours we talked to 94 people at the 3 Things God Cannot Do board and there were 5 souls that were added to the Kingdom. Praise God Praise God!!! A big thank you to Tina Marie Hosey, Carl Norton , Patricia Sides and John Balint and Pastor Jess Page for coming by to pray and encourage us. Thank you Lord for the blessings you gave us today and for this life saving ministry.

Jake and Austin who were saved and then asked to be baptized at the Talladega racetrack in Spring of 2016 came back again this year to testify of their changed lives in Christ. Patty is with them in this photo. She is one of SOS Events dedicated Team Leaders in Alabama. What a blessing to be a part of this life saving ministry.
2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
The SOS Events Tennessee Team had their first event of this year at the Nashville Flea Market. One decision was reported as well as many new contacts with Pastors in the area. The staff of the flea market offered them the same space next time. Thank you Leaders Bill and Pat (on the left) and team members for a successful first event. Praying for a great year with many souls saved and new opportunities to Serve Our Savior.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Twenty decisions were recorded at the Talladega Races this past weekend. Thank you to all the faithful SOS Events volunteers who work so hard to make this event a success. Praise the Lord for the 20 people who decided to follow Jesus.
