Weeds In Your Garden
July 15, 2016Do you have weeds in your garden? Some are very tiny and the roots have not taken hold. Others have a large root system and are almost impossible to pull up without the ground being softened by rain. The large ones when pulled up leave a bare spot in the lawn or your garden. If all the roots are taken up the weeds die but, if some of the roots are left behind the weeds will spring up again.
The weeds are like the temptation to sin in our life. The sin starts out very tiny, maybe just a thought that is not acted upon. But if we do not kill that thought before it grows, soon it will become a large and it will be much harder to get rid of because that sin will be rooted deep into a hardened heart. In order to completely remove that sin, our heart must be softened by the Holy Spirit and then the roots must be removed when we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and cleanse us. If we do not for sake the sin in our life it is like that little weed that root was not completely removed and we can once again be caught up in that same sin.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Bad or Good?

What Are You Living For?

Recently in conversation, several people have said they need to get rid of “stuff” they have accumulated over the years. It is so easy to allow small things to overtake space in our homes or even our workplace.
What about the “suff” we allow to overtake our hearts and minds? Bad habits, little sins, unforgiveness, anger, sinful movies or tv, anything not pleasing to God. Just like we need to clean out our homes we need to clean out our hearts.
Jesus died for all our sins and He is the heart cleaner. If you are a Christian, ask for His forgiveness and allow Him through the Holy Spirit to take away the “stuff” in your life.
If you have never become a Christian, the first thing is to admit to Jesus your sin, ask Him to forgive you. Jesus died on the cross, shead His precious blood so you could be saved, then He rose again on the third day. If you believe that with all your heart and invite Him to be your Savior, He promises that your sins will be forgiven.
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
I Am Dying
October 13, 2015I would like you to know as I write this, I am dying. But the most amazing thing, so are you. When we are born, every day we get closer to death. The BIBLE says murder is a sin. However,Planned Parenthood is killing little babies. That is called MURDER which is punishable by GOD. I cannot imagine after they murder the baby they cut the baby apart. What do you think about that?
Everyone, the Supreme Court, the PRESIDENT, the people who are appointed to lead our country will be accountable. No one is being punished by man. There is a judgement day coming when all mankind will face God. There is only one way to escape the punishment for sin, (murder or any other) is to repent and ask Jesus to forgive, accept His death, burial and resurrection.
Tick, tick, tick, the pendulum of the clock of time is swinging rapidly.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
