Thankful for Sunday!

November 27, 2022
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Psalms 29:2

Sunday is a day that many of us have free to do what we want. How do you spend this first day of the week?

Is it just another day to you. Shopping, relaxing, playing golf, visiting friends or family.?

Wait! This is a day that God has given us to worship Him. Do you take time to go to church? How about reading His Word and praying.

There are many ways we can spend today, but let us not forget to take time to worship our Savior.

Thankful for The Holy Spirit!

November 26, 2022

When Jesus left the world, He told his disciples that He would send them another Comforter. The Holy Spirit then came and dwelled within them.

The good news is that when we trust Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes in and dwells in us.

He is our Comforter, Teacher, Guide and Director. I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit.

Thankful for Light!

November 17, 2022

Waking up in the morning to a beautiful sunny day.

As darkness falls the lights in our homes allows us to enjoy the evening.

The lights of a city skyline at night. How we complain when electricity goes out, even for a few minutes or longer. Light is important.

The Bible tells us a lot about light. Jesus is the light of the world. Without Him we would be in total darkness spiritually.

His Word also tells us that as Christians we are light. He uses a candle as the illustration. Do not hide your light under a bushel. It is our responsibility to tell others of the wonderful light we have. Jesus.

Today, thank the Lord for His light and then share that light with someone.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16

What Do You Need?

November 15, 2022

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

This verse is a promise that God will supply all our NEEDS. Sometimes He even gives us things we would like.

Be thankful that our needs are met. Food, clothing, a place to live. Beyond those things, everything else is a want.

Thank you, Lord for supplying our needs.

Thankful For God’s Forgiveness!

November 12, 2022

Jesus forgives all our sins when we accept His death, burial and resurrection as payment for our sins.

The most amazing thing is that He forgives ALL those sins. Past, present and future sin, FORGIVEN.

How many times do we commit the same sin over and over. Jesus in His mercy has forgiven them. Then He helps us overcome that sin, if we ask Him for help.

We can be eternally thankful for God’s forgiveness.

Thankful For Souls Saved!

November 7, 2022
303 people saved on the October 31 weekend.

As we continue to be thankful for something everyday, one of the biggest thing I am thankful for is SOS Events Ministry.

All the people that have been saved over the last 21 years. Over 80,000 people will be in Heaven.

Thankful for the Leaders and Trainers in the 13 States where SOS Events has teams that go and oversee events.

All the many volunteers who give of their time, talent and even resources to have the privilege of telling others about Jesus. We are very thankful.

All of these wonderful things to be thankful for, the greatest is the Lord Jesus who makes all of this possible.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23

Honoring Tom Curtis

October 29, 2022
Tom Curtis 1936-2016

In memory of Tom Curtis, founder of SOS EVENTS Ministry. He would have been 86 today. But, he is now celebrating his birthday in Heaven.

He was a man who loved God and was a great witness for the Lord. His desire was not only to see souls saved but to get other Christians to be soul winners.

Mission accomplished in his life. SOS Events has seen over 80,000 souls saved in 20 years and hundreds of Christians trained and witnessing all over the USA and beyond. So while we miss him today we celebrate his life.

His desire was to witness to everyone he met. If you are reading this and you are no saved, you can help us honor Tom by placing your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus. That would be a great way to honor the memory of a man who loved Jesus.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

Go Into All The World!

October 27, 2022

How can we then do what God has ask us to do? The worldwide web is the answer.

In the last 3 days people from many of these countries have searched for spiritual answers. They have found the posts from SOS Events.

This is a great opportunity to get the gospel to people who may never have heard how they can be saved.

Please pray for these people that they find Jesus through the website.

The following verse is for them: the name is Jesus.
