Opportunity To Pray For People

October 28, 2024

On Saturday, Carolyn Curtis had opportunity to pray for participants in the walk for cancer patients and survivors in Tampa, Fl.

Today, if you know someone with cancer or a friend or family member who did not survive, please pray for them.

It is along hard journey. Pray that God will bring comfort and healing. Most of all pray for their salvation.

In life and death Jesus is the answer.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

Words of Wisdom!

October 27, 2024

May we not say with pessimism, “Look what this world is coming to but may we shout with praise, “Look who has come to the world.”

There is redemption in the ruin. Where sin did abound, grace did much more abound.

My friends, Jesus is the answer!”

Words of wisdom from Pastor Jonathan Watson, a Pastor in Virginia.

Today be thankful for Pastors that speak and preach with wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit.

Pray for your Pastor today as he preaches God’s Word. He needs your prayers and encouragement.

Make it a priority every Sunday to pray for the leadership in your church.

The next 4 Saturdays!

October 26, 2024

The next 4 weeks, especially on Saturdays have multiple events for SOS Event Ministry. This is the busiest time of year with fall Festivals and Halloween alternatives around the USA.

Please pray for these events. That souls will be saved, volunteers will be available for every event, good weather and large attendance.

In Florida especially, as many of the volunteers and people who planned on attending are still cleaning up after 2 hurricanes, we ask for God to provide what we need to make these event successful.

Opportunities for these events only come once a year and your prayers are important for people to come to the Lord.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 1 Timothy 2:1-4

Jesus, Son of God

October 24, 2024

Jesus, God’s beloved Son, came into this world as a baby. Grew into a man, was crucified, buried and rose again.

Why? To pay the penalty of every person’s sin. But, sins cannot be forgiven until we believe that Jesus is God’s Son, admit our sin and ask Jesus to forgive that sin.

All have sinned. If you have not believed or trusted in Jesus, do not delay. Today is the day of salvation.

Phone Call

October 23, 2024
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Yesterday a phone call came in to the SOS Events home office. Nan called to ask for a Bible Study.

She went to the National Fair in Alabama, where she heard the gospel and accepted Jesus as her Savior, but did not give the volunteers her information.

The Lord has been working on her heart and she realized she needed to start a Bible study.

Then she asked Val (the SOS office assistant) if she could get Bible studies for her children. She sent 6 names and addresses for her family to get those Bible lessons. Pray that these family members will be saved.

There are times when the SOS Events volunteers may think that they are not getting through to people, but God works on the hearts. He wants to get the glory and we cannot see all He does. Our work for the Lord accomplishes what He wants even when we can’t see it.

God’s Mercy!

October 22, 2024

God is good! He is merciful to His children. Whatever the trouble we have as born again Christians, we can still sing of His power and His mercy toward us.

Disaster, sickness, loss of property, money and even the death of a loved one, God is always there. Walking with us through whatever trouble we are experiencing. He shows His mercy in many ways.

He uses people to be there for us. He will bring something unexpected to us to lighten our problems.

So today, whatever you are going through, take time to thank the Lord for His mercy.

May Your Week Be Blessed

October 21, 2024

May everyone be blessed this week, knowing that Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same tomorrow.

He is the one who is our Savior and Lord. We can trust Jesus in everything.

God’s Love!

October 19, 2024

“Your afflictions can’t stop His affection. Your problems can’t stop His promises. Your failures can’t stop His faithfulness. Your questions can’t stop His compassion. Your pain can’t stop His plan. Your mess can’t stop His mercy.”
