Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
In the USA we are blessed to be able to go to the church of our choice. In many other countries this is not true.
Some countries dictate which church the people are allowed to go to. Other countries people are told they cannot go to church at all. These people are in danger if they worship together.
Church is important for our growth as Christians, fellowship of believers and help in time of need.
This photo is from SOS Events Annual Celebration last year. Today, the staff will go over to the venue and prepare for the Celebration which takes place tomorrow.
Many leaders, volunteers, and friends of SOS will be there. If you signed up to come, we will be happy to see you.
If you are going to miss it this year, look forward to next year.
What do we celebrate? First and most important, are the people who have trusted Jesus this past year. God allows us to be a part of thousands of people every year who got saved through the ministry.
Second, we celebrate the wonderful volunteers and supporters who give of their time, talent and finances to make winning souls possible.
This yearly celebration is fun and something we look forward to, but there is even a greater celebration that nobody should want to miss.
That is the celebration we will have when we get to Heaven and celebrate with the LORD Jesus.
Are you ready?
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Revelation 19:9
Do you feel overwhelmed and there is so much to do? No time to get it all done.
Jesus gave us the answer in Matthew 11:28. “ Come unto me“, He said.
Stop, take a few minutes to read His Word, pray and ask Him for wisdom, strength to calm to fill your mind and heart.
Peace will come over you and all things will be accomplished. Maybe some things will have to wait until later but you will have assurance that it is in His hands.
Forgive your enemies, it will mess with their mind.” This is a quote from a church sign. Catchy but true. The Bible tells us to forgive and also do something good for your enemies.
The best thing we can do is pray for them, the next is to witness to them in a simple non confrontational way.
SOS asks this question, ” Do you know the 3 Things God Can Not Do.” Simple, thought provoking and an easy way to witness to your family, friends and even your enemies.
God’s Word is the place to be in all situations in this life.
Jesus is the word.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
What a blessing. Five new volunteers to go to events in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Steve Slater, the trainer and leader for SOS Events, moved to Tennessee just a few months ago. He found Hampton’s Crossroads Baptist Church and told the Pastor about SOS Events. The Pastor was excited about a new method to witness to people.
This past week. 5 members of the church came for training and on April 5 will have their first event. A large Car Show.
Please pray for this event. Pray many unsaved people will hear the gospel and be saved.
Pray for these new volunteers that they will be filled with the Holy Spirit and are bold and are able to bring people into the Kingdom.
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Luke 14:23
How do you make a sandwich? Make preparations by getting the ingredients together.
First you have to choose the bread. White, whole wheat, rye or some other kind.
Then the filling. Roast beef, chicken, tuna, peanut butter or whatever you like in a sandwich. Maybe you prefer something spicy or hot.
Then you top it with mayo, mustard, ketchup or something to make it taste good. Put the other piece of bread and it is finished.
Do you know how to make a spiritual sandwich?
Make preparations by praying about the situation.
Maybe you have a family member, coworker or friend that you need to reprimand for something they are doing that is wrong or not pleasing to God.
Make a sandwich. First choose something that the person you need to correct has done right. Compliment them for the good thing they have done.
Then the meat or filling. Tell them what they need to do to correct the error of their ways.
Top it with LOVE. Love makes whatever is unpleasant go down smoothly.
Put the top on it with something positive and encouraging.
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:19 & 20
