The Bible has the answer to the age old question. What happens after we die? This one verse in the book of Romans tells us.
We will all stand before God for judgement. He is just and righteous. We will get what the Bible calls wages. If our sins have not been forgiven, we will receive death in the lake of fire.
The good news is, God provided a gift for all of us, if we will accept it. Eternal Life! Through Jesus. His death, burial and resurrection.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7: 13&14
Have you ever done something or said something you are truly sorry for? Maybe you hurt someone you love and need to ask forgiveness, but do not want to open that wound again.
The Bible clearly states we need to forgive one another. In fact if a brother (another Christian) has hurt you, you are to go to them and ask their forgiveness.
Somehow in our human minds that seems unfair, but think about our relationship to God. We have hurt Him many times, before salvation and especially after we have been saved. Disobedience, apathy and many other things too numerous to mention, and yet He in His love for us has forgiven us for ALL our sins. Let us show our love to Him by forgiving one another.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses
That is a good question. If you are a Christian it is your responsibility to tell others about Jesus.
Do not let people drown in their sin. The life saving news is this. Jesus died on the cross, was buried for 3 days and rose from the dead.
If they trust Him, whose blood cleanses us from all sin they will be saved.
Wonderful news. Be sure to tell someone at every opportunity.
“That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
God is so good! That is a saying that we hear from many Christians today, but do they really mean it?
Do we have a truly thankful heart? God is good. Always, in every situation. God can take the worst situation and turn it around for good.
So today if you have a wonderful day of blessing, be thankful.
If your day is full of sorrow for whatever reason, be thankful because you can count on God because He is good. He is with you to comfort you and turn your sorrow into joy.
Does your Pastor preach what you want to hear, or does he tell you something that may make you a little angry because of your sin. Pray he has boldness to speak the truth.
We desperately need revival. It starts with you and me. Pray for the men in the pulpit who have the influence to start revival. Pray also, that if there are false ministers in your church that God will remove them or that you will see and move where the Holy Spirit leads you.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16 KJV)
If we are having a problem with temptation, there is only one way we can conquer that temptation. The Bible calls it the lust of the flesh.
We overcome temptation by walking in the spirit. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in us.
Then we have a choice. We can listen to that sometimes still small voice, or we can ignore it.
To walk in the Spirit we must learn to listen to Him, then He will help us to turn from our temptation. He will make a way to escape. We must choose to take it.
The more we read the Bible, particularly prophecy, we realize that we are living in a time that Jesus may come to catch up (rapture) those of us who are saved.
What happens to the people who do not know Jesus as their Savior? Terrible time of suffering, pain and loss of everything unless they worship the anti-Christ. Once they do that they are doomed forever and will be cast into the lake of fire at the judgment along wit him and his demons.
The time to accept Jesus is now. Waiting is dangerous. None of us has any promise of tomorrow. Illness and accidents happen no matter what our age.
