15 Years Later…

At an event recently, a woman saw the SOS Events display board with a little red tag in the corner. She was so excited. In 2004, Tom and Carolyn Curtis went to her church to present the ministry and she never for got the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. When she realized that Carolyn was the one that was talking to her, she went to get her husband and 3 friends meet the cofounder of the ministry. All 5 of them have the desire to become a new team with SOS Events. An answer to prayer 15 years after meeting. We never know when our sowing will bear fruit.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

God’s Timing

About one year ago, Diana, SOS Events office manager, noticed new neighbors moving in down the road from the office. She stopped to welcome them and proceeded to tell them about Jesus. The grandmother with several of her grandchildren made decisions to follow Jesus. Time passed and nothing seemed to happen. But…on Saturday Diana got a call from this grandmother asking if her adult son could visit Diana’s church. Sunday morning David did go to church, the Pastor led him to the Lord. He was back in church Sunday night and yesterday stopped by the office with his 10 year old son, Daveion. Diana not letting an opportunity pass, led Daveion to the Lord.

Pastor, soul winner, SOS Events volunteers do not get discouraged. Be faithful in witnessing and God will bless in His timing.

Prayer Request

Please join in prayer for healing of Carolyn Curtis’ grandson, Micheal (on the right with his Dad). He will be going into surgery this morning after a serious car accident yesterday. Also, for the people in the other car as there were some injuries to at least one other person. Carolyn is cofounder of SOS Events Ministry and appreciates the prayers for her family.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Harvest Time

Today starts the greatest opportunity of the year to witness and win people to the Lord for SOS Events Ministry. Every weekend from now until mid November, SOS Events have booths at multiple events in many States. YOU can be a part of this great opportunity in several ways. 1. Pray for souls to be saved. 2. Pray for more volunteers. 3. If you have been trained please offer to work at one or more events. 4. You can give. Your contribution will be used to pay for events, tracts and materials to win lost souls to Jesus. Harvest is not only for fruits and vegetables but for people.

John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Jesus is Coming

Rare Saturday

It is rare that no events are scheduled for SOS Events Ministry on a Saturday. Moving toward the end of September and there is a quiet time, but the busiest time of the year is in October and every person who has been trained to witness at events is needed. Your team leader needs to have you say YES when you are asked to volunteer at an event. Let us be faithful laborers and have hundreds of souls saved in the next 6 weeks.

“I’m going to vent here…Most of my friends on Facebook know my religion. They may not know that my goal in life is to take upon me HIS name and always remember Him and keep His commandments. It makes me happy and brings me peace and joy. That is why this bothers me…..

On the “Today Show”, one of the wives of one of the Navy Seals killed along with the US ambassador in Libya. He asked what she would say to her children about their dad and how she would want them to remember him. Her answer, and I quote, “His love for Christ”, and then continued on with a few other things. Throughout the day and on MSN homepage, replaying the story, they have edited the “Love of Christ” part out. Why? Because using the word Christ might offend someone! Well, I am a Christian and I am offended! I’m offended that they would edit it out. Offended that we as Christians are asked to tread lightly so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man loved his country and loved his God and gave his life for both, just as Christ gave His life for him.

This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
