Catherine Booth, the co-founder of the Salvation Army and a pioneer for women of faith, is noted for saying, “If we are to better the future, we must disturb the present.”
How had Paul and Silas turned the world “upside down”? They had been witnessing to the people, telling them that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. Jesus is the Christ. Jason was a follower of Jesus.
How are you helping to turn the world upside down? Fellow Christian, we can have a great revival if everyone who is truly saved would start telling the lost how they can be saved by accepting Jesus as their Savior.
Church-yard evangelism is one of the most powerful growth vehicles for any church, if done right. The problem is, most could be a great deal more effective than they are; think about any of these activities you have been involved in over the years at any church you have visited. Here is a list of activities / events commonly sponsored, or supported by churches, either near, or on their church property:
Yard sales
BBQ
Car Shows
Events for Children (games, rides, etc…)
Fall Festival
Egg Hunt
Fish Fry
There are many more different kinds of activities that could be listed. These events usually reflect the social fabric and interest of the sponsoring, or participating church. Many times these are planned fund raisers. However, the goals also typically evolve around introducing new people to the church through some form of interaction, with the hope of leading others into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Additional benefits include helping introduce existing Christians, new to the area, to your church; help them find a new church home. Other benefits include fellowship among participating church members , and exposure for the church in other indirect ways. Most would agree, if others accept Christ (souls saved) as their personal savior “at the event”, then this would be like having your cake, and eating it too… … a win-win-win. Praise the Lord! Any kind of church-yard evangelism can always be about seeing souls saved. In fact, why plan one if that’s not included? People need the Lord!
SOS Events is about showing others how they can come to expect a harvest of souls at almost any event. Tom Curtis often reminds others that it’s not him, his wife Carolyn and other SOS workers that save souls, but it’s faith in action based on their surrender to a relationship that allows Him to do His will. Psalm 72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
SOS Events Ministry needs workers. There are events that we have the opportunity to be in but sometimes we have to pass them by for lack of volunteers.
You will not be alone. SOS Events works in teams, with an experienced leader at each event. You will be trained on how to present the gospel in a simple, non confrontational way.
How sad when people do not have the opportunity to be saved because Christians will not spend 3 or 4 hours at an SOS Events booth witnessing.
If cannot physically come to an event, you can still be a great part of this ministry by praying that the Lord will send forth laborers.
Also, you can support the ministry by giving financially. The time is getting short an people Need the Lord. Volunteer to help SOS Events however you can.
Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
SOS Events Ministry provides training for Christians to learn how to tell people how to win others to be saved.
These trainings also prepare volunteers how to become Leaders with SOS Events Ministry.
Last evening 28 people from Ekklesia Church in Plant City, Fl came to SOS Events training. This church is planning at least 3 events to use their new knowledge to win people to Jesus.
Please pray that SOS Events will have more opportunities to train new volunteers to go and tell. Also, for many new teams to be trained. The goal is to have volunteers in every State and County in the USA.

Do you know the questions to ask when witnessing to someone about how to get to Heaven?
Questions are so important. We can tell others about Jesus, how he paid for their sins when He died on the cross. He was buried and 3 days later He arose. Then we do not go any farther.
We have to ask the right question to lead them to ask forgiveness for their sin and invite Jesus to be their Savior.

Every Wednesday, the Florida SOS Events team set up a booth at the Plant City Flea Market. This past week God blessed with 23 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior.
Not only did He bless SOS Events with salvations, but there was a new Team volunteer who worked the event. Kalin.

Our regular volunteers are a great blessing, also. They are faithful. The heat index can go as high as 100 degrees but they continue to witness even when the weather conditions are difficult.

Event Evangelism, Inc. is the legal name of SOS Events Ministry. Those names were chosen very carefully. Event because that is where the Gospel is presented. Evangelism because that is what we do. SOS stands for Serving Our Savior at Events. The goal is to present the Gospel to as many people as possible.
There are many areas that have very little gospel presentation outside the church. Events take place in every community and the opportunities are unlimited. SOS Events ministry can prepare you to become an effective witness in your area. All it takes is an email or phone call.
