SOS Events Training

This time of year, SOS Events has the opportunity to train many people how to go to events and witness in a simple, no confrontational way, using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.

This past weekend there was a Training at Church on the Rock in Plant City, Florida.

There are other Trainings scheduled for this week. If you live in the area and would like to join the Florida Team, please contact the office 813-494-7512 for information or to schedule a Training convenient for you.

Encouragement For People From All Nations

People from many nations read the blog on the SOS Events website.

Please pray that the brothers and sisters in Christ are encouraged. Some of them may be going through trials that we cannot even imagine.

Every day people from Nations that we are not aware of read God’s Word. Over 100 Countries are represented.

They may be fellow Christians or are searching for the true Savior.

Pray for the people who are searching for the truth. They have opportunity to be saved by reading scripture and Bible studies that are available to them through SOS Events website.

Planting Seeds From God’s Word

The goal of SOS Events ministry is to win souls. We witness to people at events using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”

People do listen and decide to accept Jesus as their Savior.

Sometimes, however, they are not ready to make that commitment. When that happens, we just hand them a tract with a smile, and they go on their way.

That is sewing the seed of God‘s Word. The Bible tells us that God‘s Word never returns void.

What happens to that person who received the tract? We don’t know, but God does. God‘s Word is powerful and that little track that we handed that person will do the job that God intended.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

SOS Events At Cleveland Heights Baptist Church!

February 17, 2025

What a great Sunday at Cleveland Heights Baptist Church. Carolyn Curtis, Stephanie Curtis, Valerie Finch and Ann Fiegel gave testimonies about SOS Events and demonstrated how simple it is to witness with the “ 3 Things God Can Not Do”.
Several people decided to volunteer at the upcoming Strawberry Festival.
Thank you Pastor Ivey for the opportunity to share the Ministry with your congregation.

SOS Events N Alabama Team Conference

Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, had the privilege of speaking to some of the North Alabama SOS Team along with several Pastors and lay people from the local community.

What a blessing she received from them. Ronnie Burlison Team Leader and Trainer has done a great job in North Alabama.

Hundreds of people have trusted Jesus as their Savior in Alabama because of the faithful volunteers that are in events with SOS.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many. Matthew 25:21

Social Media

As Christians we sometimes complain about social media, but it is something that is also a great blessing. A way to keep up with family and friends. Sharing good news and photos. A way we can rejoice with those who have good news and comfort those in sorrow.

Let us use the media to honor and glorify God and share the “Good News”. We have an opportunity in our lifetime that was not even available just a few years ago.

People from over 100 Countries have been on SOS Events website. What an opportunity from people in places that there is no gospel preaching church, no missionaries and maybe no Christians to tell them about Jesus. Then they find SOS Events and the “3 Things God Can Not Do.”

Praise the Lord for this wonderful way to communicate with one another not only locally but all over the world.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

Plant City, Florida Flea Market

SOS Events is blessed to have faithful volunteers who go to the Plant City Flea Market in Florida every Wednesday, weather permitting.

This week over 20 people accepted Jesus as their Savior. Most of the people are Hispanic and speak Spanish.

Thankfully there are a few volunteers who speak Spanish but more bilingual workers are needed.

February and March are the busiest time of the year in Florida and we need more volunteers to help us at these upcoming events.

Please pray with us that all the needs of the ministry are met.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:38

New Territory For SOS Events

This week a SOS Events display board was shipped to Miami Beach, Florida. Miami Beach has over 82,000 residents and even more during tourist season.

What an opportunity for SOS volunteers, Gary and his crew, to witness for the Lord.

He is planning on using the display on the streets of Miami Beach.

Please pray for this team to have great success as they tell people about the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.

SOS Events Classic Car

January 14, 2025

On Saturday, the wonderful classic car that was donated to SOS Events Ministry was damaged.

On the way to the mechanic’s, a young girl tried to make it through the traffic light and hit the car. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Unfortunately, the car will either need serious repairs or will be totaled by the insurance company. The sad part is that now there. Is no car to take to car shows.

The purpose of the car was to get people to come and look at it and then hear the gospel using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.

Since getting the car there was opportunity to go to 4 Car Shows and 38 people trusted Jesus as their Savior.

Please pray with us that the Lord will provide another classic car that can be used to win people to the Lord.

The only verse that I can think of is: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job 1:21b

Raising Cane Festival

The first event for SOS Events in 2025 took place on Saturday in Dade City, Florida. It was a cold, windy day and the crowd was smaller than usual.

But, God is faithful and 10 people trusted Jesus as their Savior. praise the Lord. He always blesses the dedication of the volunteers with SOS Events.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:13-15
