Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Your Pastor needs prayer today. The burden that a Pastor carries can be overwhelming.
Family, congregation, financial responsibility and the many things that can cause stress can cause discouragement. There is nothing the enemy loves more than to see a Pastor want to give up or fall into temptation to sin.
Pray for wisdom, filling of the Holy Spirit for your Pastor. Let him know you are praying for him. It will encourage and be a blessing.
Jesus is THE GOOD SHEPHERD, however, someone else is a shepherd also, he is the Pastor of your church.
Pastors look after their flock. That is you and me. They look for lost souls, they bring comfort when we are sick or hurt, they keep us from getting into sin through their preaching.
Pastors who love Jesus and look to Him for help and guidance, they want their sheep to follow Him. Pray for your pastor today!
Does your Pastor preach what you want to hear, or does he tell you something that may make you a little angry because of your sin. Pray he has boldness to speak the truth.
We desperately need revival. It starts with you and me. Pray for the men in the pulpit who have the influence to start revival. Pray also, that if there are false ministers in your church that God will remove them or that you will see and move where the Holy Spirit leads you.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Today, Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ. Especially praying for your Pastor.
Pastors have many things on their minds. Their family, all the trials of each member of their congregation, and problems we know nothing about.
They have so many burdens and they uplift everyone in times of sorrow and joy. Pray for strength, wisdom and Holy Spirit power in their lives. Then give them a word of encouragement.
Also, never bring a problem of yours to them before they are ready to preach. That quenches the Spirit. Wait. Your Pastor wants to be there for you. You need to be there for him.
Pastors need prayer. Especially on Sunday morning when they are preparing to preach so that people may be saved, and Christians may be fed God’s word.
To often we expect our Pastor to be perfect. He has a great burden on his shoulders. He has his family, all of the congregation, including you on his heart and mind.
Today, instead of looking for something to complain about in him, let us pray that our pastor will be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Go to church with determination to uplift the Pastor with prayer and encouragement.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:18 KJV
