January 25, 2016Have you ever taken one word and studied every verse in the Bible about that word? Love is a good example. In the KJV version there are over 280 verses on the word love not includining suffixes. We learn so much about God and our relationship to Him just from that one little word.
A few examples:
1 John 4:7 & 8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The Best Gift

Many people are hustling to finish shopping for gifts, running at a fast pace to get the right present, get them wrapped and ready to see the happiness on the face of the recipient.
In all the preparation one thing is not even thought about. The most important Person, the Lord Jesus.
Christmas is a wonderful time of year but let us not leave out the reason for the season, Jesus. God gave us the most precious gift. We don’t have to shop for it or pay for it. All we have to do is accept it.
Jesus paid the price. If you have not received God’s Gift do it now. Ask Him to forgive your sins, believe He died for you and rose again, and call upon Him to save you. Your new life can begin today!
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
For the Beauty of the Earth
November 27, 2015These words that follow are a hymn written by Folliott Sandford Pierpoint (1835 – 1917) in the mid 1800’s. He looked around and saw the beauty God created and wanted to praise the Creator. We also should be thankful and give praise to our great God and Savior for everything He has given us, so beautifully written in this hymn.

God’s Great Love
November 21, 2015Thanksgiving is less than a week away and it is a good time to think about how wonderful God has been in our lives. Everyday through Thanksgiving we will focus on one of His special blessings.
The greatest thing we can give God thanks for is sending His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross that we can have eternal life. Thank you Father for your wonderful love.

This is an old happy song written over 100 years ago, but it will still lift your spirits today. The message in it is so true. Maybe you have a friend who is going through a hard time, a phone call, email or sometimes just a smile or a shoulder to cry on makes all the difference in the world to that person. You can always pray with someone.
It is our responsibility as Christians to let our light shine brightly and reflect the Love of Jesus to a hurting world.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Gifts Fom Our Father
August 29, 2015Praying is work. Have you ever been praying and your mind will wander to a different subject? Or not been able to get to sleep and decided to pray and in just a little while you have fallen asleep?
Prayer is the one weapon the that Satan does not want you to use. Prayer will give you answers to problems or decisions that you are unsure about. God delights in hearing from His children.
The most wonderful thing is that He is interested in the smallest things in our lives and He loves to have us ask for them. Need a parking place or want to have someone call you that you haven’t heard from in awhile? Then there it is.. the parking place right in front of the building. The phone rings and the person who you wanted to talk to is calling. Coincidence some people say. No, answer to prayer from a loving Father who loves His children, and likes to give good things to them.
Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
