Don’t let your past determine your future. Look to God for the truth. Don’t let the past steal you from the joys of today. The Lord has so much for you. I pray you will take time to read His Word daily and talk to Him through prayer then watch how he will guide you. He wants to walk with you every minute of the day, you are so important to Him. Ask Him to open your eyes to the truth of His unconditional love for you. See yourself through His eyes.
Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) says, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He’s sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped. -Dr. Charles Stanley
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” II Corinthians 12:9

Sometimes we have things in our lives that are overwhelming. Problems, illness, relationships, sin and other things that seem impossible to overcome. Can the giant in your life be defeated? Absolutely! Remember David and Goliath. David was young and only a Shepard but he had faith that God would defeat Goliath, this 9 foot tall giant. Armed with a slingshot and five stones and faith he killed the giant that plagued Israel. God brought the victory. You can have victory in your life over and “giant” you are facing. Give it to the Lord, have faith and victory can be yours.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5 is about being distinct in character. How a Christian is to be clearly different from this world, noticeably different in a good way. This particular teaching was coming from the mouth of Jesus Himself. He not only said how we are to be distinct, but when we are, we are blessed with a true happiness & peace that only God gives. Plus He tells what we would obtain for being distinct. We are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Christ urges us to be a good example. I challenge you to read Matthew chapter 5 and be determined to be distinct in this world and watch for your blessings.
Matthew 5:13-16 (KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.”
In life, we need the help of Christ to stay focused, so make His Word personal. Say the verse above, Colossians 3:17 by using your name and personal pronouns. An example is below.
Whatever (your name) does in word or in deed, let me do all in the name of Jesus and give thanks to God my Father through Jesus.
