Are You Ready For Heaven?

July 6, 2025

“The so-called “social gospel” lays stress upon this life, not on the next. In many quarters it is now regarded as very old-fashioned and passe’ to urge people to prepare to die. Social security, better housing, relief for tenant farmers, better living conditions for the poor and the care of underprivileged children—these have occupied so much of the teaching and preaching of these modern days, that preachers have left hungry-hearted people ignorant about Heaven.”
― John R. Rice

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

Today Is An Event!

July 2, 2025

Event Evangelism, Inc is the legal name for SOS Events ministry and all of our witnessing takes place at events. The definition of an event by the founder of SOS Events ministry is “An event is when you get up in the morning.”

Everyday is another opportunity to witness. Young mother at home with small children, witness to someone on the phone or a neighbor or delivery man. Student, witness to your unsaved fellow students. Business man or woman, you have many opportunities to witness as you work (make sure you do not do it on the boss’s time). Elderly, even in a nursing home you have people around you to witness to for the Lord.

Today is an event. Give someone a tract, tell someone your testimony or use the simple “3 Things God Can Not Do” approach which takes less than 2 minutes. Make today your special event.

Acts 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

God Provides!

June 27, 2025

The lights went out in the rehab center where Carolyn Curtis is recovering from surgery with a broken ankle.

The nurse came in to check on her but had no light to be able to take blood pressure and other things she needed.

The day before, a doctor came in to check Carolyn’s foot and did not realize he dropped his flashlight.

Carolyn found it in the folds of her blanket. It was put on the dresser so the doctor could come and get it, but he didn’t.

So, there it was for the nurse to use while the lights were off. Some people might say coincidence, but we know it was God’s provision.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

We Are Blessed!

June 24, 2025

If we abide in Jesus, He promises that we will be blessed.

Have you ever wondered how a person who is going through great trials in their life can be so happy and contented. Then we find that the source of their joy is Jesus!

We are truly blessed.

Rejoice in the Lord

June 18, 2025

Can you have joy in any situation? Even death of a loved one, illness, loss of possessions or any other tragedy in your life?

Only if you have a personal relationship with Jesus. He is the only one who can give you peace and comfort and even joy in any situation.

So whatever you are facing today, look to Jesus foe the joy you need.

Happy Father’s Day

Great Bible Verse For You Today!

June 14, 2025

If you have something to celebrate today, do it.

If you have sorrow or cares, cast your care upon Jesus and remember Jesus is the source of our Joy.

The little chorus “The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength” is a great song to sing. It will give you joy and make you smile just to sing it.

What A Day That Will Be!

June 10, 2025

We as Christians should look ahead with joy and expectation, the day when we see no more tears, death, sorrow, crying and pain all passed away.

What a wonderful promise in God’s Word to encourage us today!
