There are literally hundreds of promises in the Bible. God’s Word is true. He can not lie. We can read the promises ourselves and know that God will do as He promised. Need an answer for a problem? Find a promise in the Bible, pray about it and God will keep His promise to you.

June 20, 2016God’s Word and your prayer should be the priority in your life. Get up 15 minutes early everyday to spend time alone with God and your day will go much smoother. If you are not in the habit of having devotions early in the morning, try it and see how you will be blessed.

A Christian Father

A Christian father has a responsibility to teach his children the Word of God. To often in today’s world that training is left to Sunday school, Christian school, Grandma or neglected altogether. Getting the family together for Bible reading and prayer daily is the way to rear children who will not loose their way as teenagers and adults. Dads, it is not to late to start now.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Hard Things
June 17, 2016Sometimes as Christians we have to do things that are really hard. Standing for your convictions when everyone else is going along with the crowd. Telling the truth when it would be easier to not say anything to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. Witnessing to a close friend or relative when you know they will reject the gospel. Forgiving someone who has seriously hurt you.
These are just a few things that we may be called on to do. But we have the power and strength to do whatever is hard because God is with us in every situation and will bless our efforts when we follow Biblical principles. If we pray about those hard things and trust God to help us do the right thing, He does give the power and strength to do them.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Fruitful Labour
June 16, 2016In Florida, God blesses SOS Events every week with decisions to follow Jesus. This week at the Plant City Flea Market 3 teenagers and 2 adults were saved.
Praise the Lord for the souls that are saved and for the faithful workers who sacrifice to be there every week.

A Special Find
June 14, 2016“God Will Carry You Through” is the title of a book by Max Lucado. Not necessarily one of my favorite authors but I found this book on my bookshelf with a personal note from my husband, Tom Curtis, who went home to be with the Lord one month ago today. (This book sat on the shelf for 2 years and I never picked it up until today)
How special and wonderful is the Lord. The note said, “The Lord showed me this book. Read it before you write the blog. I love you. Tom”
How perfect. The blessing is to know That God will carry me through and He will carry you through each problem and difficulty in life. The Bible has so many wonderful verses to help in every situation. All we have to do is trust Him and claim the promises in His Word.

Salvation Testimony
June 13, 2016 A brother and a sister were walking by us along with their Mom’s boyfriend and decided to stop and hear the three things God cannot do. They were vendors, a few spots down from us. The dad permitted them to talk to us. The kids were so sweet and right away accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Later, they brought Mom to us and she spoke Portugese and very little English. She was also sweet and conversed with us and accepted Lord Jesus. She spoke her testimony in a video. Praise God for her testimony.
This is a testimony from Columbus Farmers Market in New Jersey. Praise the Lord for new salvations. The Bible tells us to go into all the world, but at events He sends people from other countries to the SOS Events booth.
