Who do you look to when you are troubled?

Who do you look to when you are troubled?

Our children are the most precious gift given to us by God. Each one is unique and different.
We desire that our children grow up to be godly, productive adults.
However, they need guidance and direction. Children are born with a sin nature. Many temptations to follow sin are there especially today.
As parents it is our responsibility to train them to become the person God wants them to be.
Teach them to read the Bible daily, pray with them and for them continually. Train them to seek God’s will in every situation, in joy and in sorrow.
Home, church and school are where they spend the most time. Your home must be where they learn the most about God. Church is important as they will not only make it a priority but friendships are developed there. School is where they will spend the most of their time from kindergarten through high school and beyond… it is also the place where they learn to follow God or learn the worldly ways from teachers and fellow students. Christian school or home school is the only way to be sure they learn godly values.
It takes sacrifice on your part to make sure your children are getting the training that they need.
Pray God will help you to be the parent that trains your children in the way God wants them to go.

How do you react when someone or something irritates you. Do you get angry and want to lash out? Do you have a bad attitude?
Inside you allow that irritation to fester. That is not good for your health and it is certainly not pleasing to God.
Instead, think of the good in that person or circumstance. Be grateful that person is in your life. Maybe you are irritated with your spouse or children, a coworker in the workplace. Each of them has many good qualities. Be thankful for the good things.
Make a list of all the things in that person or situation that you can be thankful for and then pray and ask the Lord to bless them. Your attitude can make a great difference.
Let us decide right now to have a good attitude and be grateful in every situation.
Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

We think we are good Christians! We read the Bible, we pray and go to church at least once a week. But, are we deceiving ourselves?
True Christianity is more than that. Are we doing what the Lord commands?
Do we ask forgiveness for any sin immediately? Are we telling others how they can be saved? Are we serving the Lord joyfully?
Be ye doers of The Word not hearers only.

Everyone, even the most Godly person has sin in their lives. It may be something we have said or done to displease our Savior. It may be something we should have done for Him, but didn’t. Whatever our sin, God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us. We are clean!
Our sin is as far as the East from the West to be remembered no more by God. It is behind us. Jesus told the woman at the well “Go and sin no more.” We need to do the same.

This little light o’ mine, I’m goin’ let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
Evrywhere I go, I’m goin’ let it shine (repeat)
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
In my neighbor’s home, I’m goin’ let it shine (repeat)
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
This is a little chorus that is sung usually with children.

Jesus wants every Christian to be a fisher of men.(Women and children also)
Unsure of how to present the Gospel in a non confrontational way?
SOS Events can teach you how to witness by asking a simple question, “Do you know the 3 Things GOD Can Not Do?”
Follow Jesus by doing the main thing. Tell others how to know for sure they are going to Heaven.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7: 13&14

Church is more important than ever. If you are able to go, GO!
Let us not let the enemy destroy our privilege of attending church.
