Your past is gone. The Bible tells us to forget the things that are behind us and reach for the things that are in the future.
This year let us look forward to new opportunities to learn and grow. The goal should be to draw closer to our Savior, Jesus.
The way to do that is to read His Word daily. Listen to what He has to say to us. Then be obedient to what He wants us to do.
May God bless us on this journey through life.
Back to school backpack giveaways are wonderful events for SOS EVENTS Ministry.
Yesterday at a church in Mango, Flo, God blessed Stephanie and Alice at a Backpack Giveaway with 7 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior.
Mostly families are at these events and several of the decisions were with family.
All of the new Christians will receive free Bible studies and will be followed up by a local church. Praise the Lord!
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8
People from many nations read the blog on the SOS Events website.
Please pray that the brothers and sisters in Christ are encouraged. Some of them may be going through trials that we cannot even imagine.
Every day people from Nations that we are not aware of read God’s Word. Over 100 Countries are represented.
They may be fellow Christians or are searching for the true Savior.
Pray for the people who are searching for the truth. They have opportunity to be saved by reading scripture and Bible studies that are available to them through SOS Events website.
Yesterday a phone call came in to the SOS Events home office. Nan called to ask for a Bible Study.
She went to the National Fair in Alabama, where she heard the gospel and accepted Jesus as her Savior, but did not give the volunteers her information.
The Lord has been working on her heart and she realized she needed to start a Bible study.
Then she asked Val (the SOS office assistant) if she could get Bible studies for her children. She sent 6 names and addresses for her family to get those Bible lessons. Pray that these family members will be saved.
There are times when the SOS Events volunteers may think that they are not getting through to people, but God works on the hearts. He wants to get the glory and we cannot see all He does. Our work for the Lord accomplishes what He wants even when we can’t see it.

Christians, we have a powerful weapon and that is God‘s word the Bible.
If we use it correctly for instruction, guidance, and truth, along with the Holy Spirit, we can overcome any battle in our lives.
Read it daily. Study and Do what it says for victory.
It is amazing that people from many Countries around the world are reached by SOS Events.
Every day many people from about 100 Countries that we may not even heard about get on the website and search for answers.
Salvation, prayer, witnessing, Jesus, Holy Spirit and many other things they search for.
The Bible Studies offers answer to many of their questions.
Pray that as they search they will find salvation and grow in their Christian faith through the SOS Events outreach.
In today’s world there are so many ways that people can go to learn about God.
Church, Radio, Television, Friends, Internet and many more. But, in all of these ways you could be getting false information about God.
How can we learn the truth? There is only one way. We must study the Bible ourselves. Only then can we discover whether we are getting the truth about who God is and have a relationship with Him.
There is nothing wrong in any of the ways you choose to learn more about God. Just be sure that what you are learning is true according to scripture.
There’s something about starting the day off studying God’s Word, whether it be the opened pages of the Bible or the push of a button on your device. Meditating and making notes as to hide His Words in your heart for use that day.
II Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
When going on a trip, business or pleasure, we prepare by making sure we pack everything we may need. Proper clothing, toiletries and identification. We are looking forward to the trip with great anticipation.
We are preparing for the greatest trip we will ever take, the journey to Heaven. The preparation should be the most important thing on our minds. The first thing is salvation. No one enters Heaven without it. Then, daily Bible reading and prayer. A pure lifestyle is important, also. Are you ready for this trip?
