He Is Risen!

April 12, 2020

Low in the grave He lay—
Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2
Vainly they watch His bed—
Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus my Lord!
3
Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away—
Jesus my Lord!

This hymn says it all! Jesus arose! He is not dead! He is my Savior!

The Tomb Was Sealed

April 11, 2020

Jesus is dead. The tomb is sealed. The disciples are in shock and grief. Is there no hope?

The days between the crucifixion and resurrection must have been really hard for the followers of Jesus. The One they had put their trust in, the One who was going to be King. Confused, sorrowful and disappointed they probably did nothing. Some waited together and others waited alone. People react differently when someone they love dies.

Today there are many people who have the same reaction to Jesus. Some doubt. Some do not believe in Him. Others reject Him. They do not realize what He can do for them.

Today is the day before Resurrection Sunday. Are you like these people or are you excited about tomorrow? The tomb did not stay sealed. The stone rolled away and JESUS arose. Let us celebrate the glorious resurrection not only tomorrow but everyday. JESUS lives…

Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Jesus Death on the Cross

April 10, 2020

John 19:17 & 18 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Judas Iscariot

April 9, 2020

He walked with Jesus. He saw the miracles. He was trusted enough to handle the money. Others did not see him as evil. JUDAS. A name that even today we think of betrayal. Greed, for 30 pieces of silver he was willing to betray the ONE who loved him.

We wonder how he could do such a horrible thing and yet, do we betray Jesus with our attitude, our indifference or our sin? When Jesus told the disciples that one would betray Him, each one asked, “Is it I?”

Let us ask ourselves, do I betray my Savior, Jesus, in any way? If so let us ask His forgiveness had love Him as He loved us.

Matthew 26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Trusting Jesus In The Storm

April 4, 2020

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Mark 4:35-41

The Coronavirus feels like a great storm to many. Jesus is saying to us, “Peace be still.” Turn to Him to calm your fearful heart.

Peace In Troubled Times

April 3, 2020

Today’s Bible verse speaks for itself. God has given us peace if we trust in Him through our Lord, Jesus.

He does not want us to have fear but lean on Him.

Walt Whitman Quote

April 2, 2020

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.
Walt Whitman

There is a beautiful song…Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.

In these troubled times, we need to look to Jesus.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Focus on God’s Healing

March 30, 2020

Many people are being healed of the Coronavirus. Our news media is so focused on the amount of cases and deaths that we are not hearing about the people that have been healed.

For those of us who are Christians, we need to focus on God‘s healing power. If you are reading this and you are not a Christian, today is the time you need to ask Jesus to be your Savior.

Jesus Loves Me

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Our Unchanging Savior

March 16, 2020

School closed, store shelves empty of certain products, visiting hospitals and assisted living facilities prohibited and sporting events cancelled.

When the world as we know it seems to have changed overnight because of the coronavirus, we have one thing that never changes That is The Lord Jesus. God Can Not Change. His love and care for us is constant. His promises are true. There are hundreds of verses in the Bible, God’s Word, that tells us not to fear, trust in Him, be anxious for nothing, He loves us and cares for us.

Today, if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, take all your cares and concerns to Him.

If you do not know Him personally, now is the time to put your faith in Him and ask Him to forgive your sins, believe Jesus died on the cross, was buried and 3 days later He arose. Then call on Him and invite Him to be your Savior.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
