Sometimes the task in front of us feels bigger than we are — whether it’s leading, serving, stepping out in faith, or simply facing another day. But our strength is not in ourselves. Our courage is not in our personality. It is in His presence.
If God has called you to it, He will walk with you through it.
So today, don’t shrink back. Don’t let fear make your decisions. Stand strong, move forward, and remember — you never go alone.
Jesus gave His followers a clear mission—to go, to teach, and to reach others with the hope of the Gospel. The Great Commission was not only for the disciples long ago; it is for each of us today. Every conversation, every smile, and every act of kindness becomes an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love.
As SOS Events Ministry prepares to serve at the Strawberry Festival, this is more than volunteering—it is ministry. When you greet visitors, assist families, or simply offer encouragement, you are living out the command of Jesus to “go.” You become a light in a place where someone may need hope, prayer, or direction.
You do not go alone. Jesus promised, “I am with you alway.” He goes before you, works through you, and touches hearts because of your willingness to serve.
Next week, as the festival begins, consider answering His call. Your hands can serve, your words can encourage, and your presence can point someone to Christ. The harvest is ready—and God is calling willing servants.
Will you go?
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19&20
SOS Events has some regularly scheduled events that take place all year.
One of them is the Plant City Flea Market that takes place every Wednesday.
These events help SOS Events to be active all year and in all weather. Florida and Alabama have these events. Other States are not so fortunate because of weather. The Northern and Midwest States cannot have events as the weather is just too cold.
Yesterday, 5 people trusted Jesus as their Savior at the weekly Flea Market. Praise the Lord for the new Christians and for the faithful volunteers who worked the booth yesterday.
“Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.” Psalms 113:1
Don’t let your past determine your future. Look to God for the truth. Don’t let the past steal you from the joys of today. The Lord has so much for you.
I pray you will take time to read His Word daily and talk to Him through prayer then watch how he will guide you. He wants to walk with you every minute of the day, you are so important to Him.
Ask Him to open your eyes to the truth of His unconditional love for you. See yourself through His eyes.
Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) says, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not
Thinking of something to encourage those who read this, I chose a book on hymns, “Then Sings My Soul” by Robert J. Morgan. He wrote a forward “The Cure For Shot Nerves”. Thinking that is a catchy title, I read what he wrote about how the old hymns can calm the spirit and help bring peace to the soul.
It is rare in some churches to even hear the old hymns anymore and that is sad. “In the Garden” He walks with me/ and He talks with me/ and tells me I am His own. “Jesus Loves Me”, “Amazing Grace”, “I Need Thee Every Hour” and many more that encourage the heart.
Today, if you are stressed, feeling overwhelmed, or just plan discouraged, think of your favorite hymn and sing it, hum it or just let it flood your mind with how good God is, and soon you will find the comfort you need
