Today is Sunday and your Pastor needs prayer. The Enemy does not want him filled with the Spirit and preaching God’s Word. He will face battles today as he gets ready to feed us. The best way to honor your Pastor is to pray for him and encourage him with kind words. Pray for power in his message, for souls to be saved and backslidden Christians to get right with God.
Also, a tip from a dear Pastor’s wife, please do not catch him before church with problems, troubles or criticism. He needs to be free from conflicting thoughts so the Holy Spirit can work through him.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding
People from many nations read the blog on the SOS Events website.
Please pray that the brothers and sisters in Christ are encouraged. Some of them may be going through trials that we cannot even imagine.
Every day people from Nations that we are not aware of read God’s Word. Over 100 Countries are represented.
They may be fellow Christians or are searching for the true Savior.
Pray for the people who are searching for the truth. They have opportunity to be saved by reading scripture and Bible studies that are available to them through SOS Events website.
“Why worry, when you can pray? Trust Jesus, He will be your stay. Don’t be a doubting Thomas, lean fully on His promise, Why worry, worry, worry, worry when you can pray?”
We sometimes get stressed and worry about things that may never happen. And even if they do happen, we have a promise from Jesus himself. The peace of God will be there to comfort us and guide us through any situation.
I love this little course “ Why worry when you can pray.” if you don’t know it, look it up online and sing along. That little melody will go with you all day and how can you worry when in your heart you know that Jesus is with you and will work out whatever you worry about.
Every time our phone rings it gives us an opportunity to witness or encourage someone. We get calls that are very pleasant, from family or friends. We can use these calls to encourage and pray for each other. It’s a great way to stay in touch with loved ones far away.
We also get calls that are extremely annoying, like a solicitor trying to get us to donate or buy something we don’t want or need. Our first reaction is to hang up..but wait. It may be an opportunity to witness to that person. They may listen or they will hang up on us. Then we have accomplished something. A seed planted or we have gotten rid of an annoying call. Let’s use every opportunity that God gives us to bring honor to Him.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
As Christians we have the privilege of serving the LORD, especially on Sunday.
Today, take advantage of that blessing. If you have a position in your church or are in the congregation, you can be serving Him.
Pastors, teachers, ushers or whatever position you hold, do it with gladness and joy. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit.
In the congregation, be alert. Watch for new people and someone who is lonely. Go and make them feel welcome and loved. Encourage your friends and others around you.
Make this Sunday a day of joy and service. Your day will be blessed beyond measure.
If you have a Sweetheart to share Valentines Day with, you are blessed, but if you do not have a Spouse or special someone you are still blessed. You have the One who loves you more than anyone possibly could. His name is Jesus. Have a blessed Valentines Day.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him
As Christians we need to have compassion for one another. To our fellow Christians and also to the unsaved.
We will never win the lost by being unkind, rude or unforgiving to them or to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Others are watching our actions, our speech and even our tone of voice. Courtesy and love to our spouses, children and others is the key to the peace and joy in our homes, workplace and family gatherings.
The unsaved that are watching will then want what we have and we can share the love of Jesus and His forgiveness.

Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, had the privilege of speaking to some of the North Alabama SOS Team along with several Pastors and lay people from the local community.
What a blessing she received from them. Ronnie Burlison Team Leader and Trainer has done a great job in North Alabama.
Hundreds of people have trusted Jesus as their Savior in Alabama because of the faithful volunteers that are in events with SOS.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many. Matthew 25:21
