1. Sit up front, smile, and say “Amen” every time he says something good. He will preach himself to death.
2. Pat him on the back and tell him what good work he is doing in the church and the community. He will work himself to death.
3. Increase your offering to the church. He will suffer from shock.
4. Tell him you have decided to join the visitation group and help win souls for the Lord. He will probably suffer a heart attack.
5. Get the whole church to band together to pray for him. He will get so if efficient that some other church will hear about him and give him a call. That will take him off your hands.
What are you doing to encourage your Pastor?
Psalms 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Going to church today? That is good, but do you have a close relationship with Jesus?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Today is the Lord’s Day for Christians all over the world. For some church service is already over and the rest may be getting ready to go to church today. Then there are those who will not be in a church building today but will be worshipping at home, in the hospital, at work or maybe on the battlefield. The Bible tells us to serve the Lord and come before His presence with singing.
We can worship the Lord today no matter where we are or whatever the circumstance. So if you can, fellowship together in church but if not, worship the Lord in your heart and sing unto Him. God looks on the heart.

SOS Events ministry works in partnership with the local church. Periodically we will post some of the answers to questions that have been asked by fellow workers, pastors and others who may want to know what our beliefs and goals are for the ministry.
Baptism
The focus of SOS is to win souls.
We believe baptism is an ordinance of the church. New believers can be followed up by the church, which would include discipleship, baptism and membership to serve the Lord along side fellow believers.
1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

The church is not the way to heaven; the church is the sign that points to heaven.” – Adrian Rogers
This week witnessing to a man in the hospital, he said he was angry with the church that he attended because he was always asked to give money. He wanted nothing to do with church or God because of a bad experience with a clergyman.
How sad that some denominations and some churches think more of money and church attendance than they do of winning people to the Lord. In this particular instance the church was not a Bible believing church but trusted in tradition and ritual. But sometimes even our “good” churches focus on programs instead of winning souls to the Lord. God sent His Son, Jesus, for one reason, to die so that we might have eternal life and have a home in Heaven. It must break the heart of God that we have become lukewarm and He will hold each church and individual responsible for what we have done for Him.
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Many of our friends and family on the East Coast cannot go to church today, because of the blizzard snowstorm that took place this weekend.
What a wonderful opportunity to gather your family together and worship God.Sing together, read the Bible and pray. It is also a good time to thank the Lord for His blessings. He brought you through the storm safely, you have food to eat and fellowship with your family. Worshiping together at home teaches your children that God can be worshiped any place.
Sometimes we cannot go to church for other reasons than the storm. Maybe a sick child or you are sick yourself. Do not neglect to worship God whatever the circumstance. Every day should be a day of worship, so this is good advice on a daily basis.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
