2022 is here. Will it be a year full of joy or sorrow? Will we have success or failure? Sickness or health? God does not allow us to see into the future but he does promise to guide us if we put our trust in Him. He is with us in every circumstance, good or bad and He is always good.
The staff of SOS Events wishes you and your loved ones a happy prosperous New Year. May God bless you as you trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Many people will be celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight drinking, going to parties, etc., only to start the New Year with a headache and hangover. We can start our New Year with a clean heart.
Christians take time this evening to pray for forgiveness for the unconfessed sins that we have committed. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior there is no better way to start a new year than becoming a new person in Christ. Happy New Year. May 2022 bring you and your loved ones peace and joy that only the Lord can give.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Christmas is over, time to take down the beautiful decorations and keeping in our hearts the memories of Christmas 2021. It always makes me sad to put away those wonderful things that make Christmas special every year. As we put away the lights, tree, nativity sets, let us NOT put away the truth of Christmas, Jesus was born into this world to be our Savior, and it is our responsibility to tell others. So let us make a resolution to be better witnesses in 2022 and Serve Our Savior with more zeal than we ever had before.
Witnessing is a little more difficult because of the restrictions in some areas, but we can make phone calls, write notes and use social media to be a witness for the Lord. Be creative. Think of someone today who needs the Lord and pray for him or her, and then contact them. People need the Lord now more than ever.
Acts 26:22-23 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentil
What a wonderful verse to start with for the month of December! God does supply all our needs.
Some people have abundance of money and material things. Others have very little. The Christmas season is a time for giving. It is not the cost of the gifts, it is the gift given from the heart that counts.
A phone call, letter or an invitation for a meal can mean more than the most expensive present in the world. Your time with your friends and family is the most meaningful gift you can give.
God wants the same thing. You can give a large offering, go to church or do some charity work, but the most important thing you can give to God is time to read His word, pray and then tell someone else about His special gift, the Lord Jesus.
Most of us start our day with a cup of coffee. The most important way to start our mornings though, is to spend it with Jesus. We must not neglect to read His Word and pray. That is a perfect way to start our day along with the coffee.
Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
What we think about can make our day wonderful or terrible. Sometimes it is hard to control our thoughts.
That is when we need to seek God’s face and ask Him for His help and direction.
It is hard to be negative when we are concentrating on positive things. Fear and worry are not from God. How many times have you worried about something that never happened?
Think about the good things GOD has done for you and be thankful. Everyday this month write down something you are thankful for. No repeats. You will see that good thoughts make a good day.
Sometimes we cannot see good in the situation we are in. Maybe it’s illness, accident, loss of a loved one. In our finite minds we can not understand why things are happening to us..
But, GOD will turn even the worst tragedies in our lives into something good if we will trust Him to bring it to pass. It may take time. Even months or years. Then we look back and we can see how He uses these tests in our lives and turns them into testimonies.
