“If you wish to know God, you must know his Word. If you wish to perceive His power, you must see how He works by his Word. If you wish to know His purpose before it comes to pass, you can only discover it by His Word.” (C.H. Spurgeon)
Many people from all over the world have an opportunity to study God’s word on SOS Events home page. If you have not used the Bible studies by Porter Barrington, do one today. Each one will give you knowledge and more understanding of God and the Bible.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
En mi corazón he guardado tus dichos, Para no pecar contra ti. Salmos 119:11
This precious photo of a little child praying. This is not just any child, it is a small boy in the Ukraine, praying for his country.
We need to take a lesson from this photo and pray for not only the people in Ukraine but for people who are going through troubled times all over the world.
Most of us cannot do anything about the situations in our government, but we can pray.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Mark10:15
De cierto os digo, que el que no recibiere el Reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en é Marcos 10:15
o you know the answer to this riddle? Think about it. Take one section at a time. Study the following verse. The answer is in it.
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Jeremías 32:17 Oh Señor Jehová! he aquí que tú hiciste el cielo y la tierra con tu gran poder, y con tu brazo extendido, ni hay nada que sea difícil para ti;
God promises to listen to our prayers if we are true believers.
The question is do we listen to Him. How does He speak to us? Through His Word, through a Pastor or other wise Christian, or in a still small voice through the Holy Spirit.
When we pray, do we take time for Him to speak to us? Today, decide to stop and listen. It will change our lives.
God’s Word tells us to pray for those in authority. Whatever our political views are, we need to pray for our President, Governor and all in office.
Especially now. There are so many problems facing our leaders. Threat of war, Covid, crime and evilness that is all around us.
The verse that always addresses these issues is: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Intimacy with God requires a repentant heart. In His love, God says when we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to cleanse us. That cleansing restores our fellowship with Him.
God hates sin because He is Holy and Righteous. Sin is anything we have done that God has commanded us not to do.
All have sinned and come short. You can watch a small child only months old and already they are sinners. Selfishness and disobedience. They will be playing and grab a toy from another child, hit or bite.
Jesus paid the penalty for all our sins if we by faith ask His forgiveness, repent of our sin and put our trust in Him.
