Enoch Pleased God!

January 10, 2024

Enoch was a hero who had more than just strong faith in God; he walked with God and pleased Him so much that he did not die, but was taken up to heaven. Enoch’s life is a living testimony of pleasing the Lord in all ways through fellowship and obedience. He is only one of the two people in the Bible who never experienced death.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:5&6

True Friends!

January 9, 2024

What is a real friend? Someone who sticks by you no matter what the circumstances. They will rejoice with you when something good happens in your life.

They will sympathize with you in times of sadness.

Most importantly, they will pray with you and is there for you in every situation.

The Bible tells us to have friends we must be a friend.

If you have a friend you are blessed. If you have more than one, God has given you a treasure that is worth more than money can buy.

Maybe you need to reach out to your friend(s) today! Be the friend that they need.

Happy New Year!

January 1, 2024

My prayer for you is that 2024 will be a year of blessing from the Lord.

Whatever the year May bring, that you will trust the Lord for His goodness. Joy or sorrow, every year has some of both. The one thing that is certain. God loves you and wants only the best for you.

My favorite verse in the Bible has gotten me through everything in life. Good times and bad.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5 & 6

Simeon With Baby Jesus

December 26, 2023

The Christmas story did not end with the birth of Jesus. That was just the beginning. The Bible records little about baby Jesus. We know He was taken to the temple to be dedicated to the Lord when Mary’s time of purification was over as the law of Moses commanded. A sacrifice of a pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons.

While at the temple Mary and Joseph met two people. Today we will talk about Simeon.

He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. Luke 2:29-32

Christmas Sunday

December 24, 2023

Christmas Eve Sunday. May you be reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas today.

God sent His Son, Jesus, to be born, and then to die, and rise again so you and I can have eternal life.

Mary and Elizabeth

December 18, 2023

Can you imagine Elizabeth’s joy to share with her friends and family that, after all this time, in her old age, she was finally going to be a mother? And how exciting that her son was the one God had chosen to prepare the people for the coming of the Messiah!

Elizabeth had a visitor. Mary, her cousin came to see her, probably to share the news that she was expecting a baby, who was to be the Savior.

When Elizabeth saw Mary, her baby leapt in her womb. Elizabeth what is overjoyed that the mother of the Savior came to visit her.

Luke 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

Luke 1:41-42 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

Praise the Lord for Everything!

December 17, 2023

One week until Christmas Day! Are we so busy that we forget the most important thing we need to do this season and everyday?

That is to Praise the Lord in everything. If we are not doing that, we have missed what Christmas is all about.

God sent His Son, the LORD JESUS to be born. Not as King but as a lowly baby, to grow up and die on the cross for payment for our sin. That alone is worthy of all our praise.

Then our daily blessings. Too many to even count. So stop today and right now give Him the praise He deserves. Take time from your business to honor the One who give you everything.

Christmas Candles-Symbol of JESUS

December 11, 2023

Candles are a tradition of Christmas. Before electricity they were used to light Christmas trees, as well as light for the home after dark. Today, we use them as decorations. We scent them with Christmas smells, pine, peppermint and others to make our homes smell like Christmas.

The Christian meaning of the candle is that Jesus is the light of the world. We no longer walk in darkness of sin when we accept Jesus as our Savior.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
