Today is special so we can honor our fathers. If you have a Godly Dad who teaches you the word of God, you are extremely blessed.
Maybe your Dad is not a Christian, pray for him. Sometimes it takes years of prayer, God is not willing that any should perish.
If your Dad is not in your life give thanks to our Heavenly Father for all His blessings.
To all who have a Dad that is now in Heaven, may God comfort you today and bring to mind all the wonderful memories that you shared.

June 16, 2013Death of His Saint
June 14, 2013Psalms 116:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his saints.
Today Heaven is rejoicing to welcome another of God’s saints into His presence. At 4:15 am Eugene Curtis, Tom’s brother went home to be with The Lord. Though our hearts are saddened, we at the same time rejoice to know he is out of his pain and struggles here on earth.
We will see him again!! Thank You Lord for your death on the cross and your promise of Heaven.
Words of wisdom
June 13, 2013It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to loose it.
Benjamin Franklin
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver or gold.
Proverbs 22:1

How to live a Godly life
June 12, 2013You can not live a Godly life without the Word of God. Read The Word daily for a Christ centered life.
Psalms 119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.
Do you know the 3 things God can not do?
June 9, 2013“Do you know the 3 things God can not do?” is a sign on the back of our car along with my cell phone number. Coming out of a grocery store a few days ago the phone rang and a woman said,”I am following you and need to know the 3 things God can not do.”
1. God can not lie. 2. God can not change 3. God cannot let anyone into Heaven unless you are born again.
After explaining these 3 things, I asked her, “Are you 50, 75 or 100% sure if you died today you would go to Heaven?”
She answered that she did not know.
When the plan of salvation was explained, this lady trusted The Lord as her Savior.
She said “I did not know if i was going to be talking to some “nut”, but I had to know.” She then ask if she could give the phone number to her friends so they could find out how to go to Heaven also.
These simple signs on the back of the car has resulted in several salvations, plus at least 2 or 3 calls a week from Christians who are curious.
If anyone would like a sign for their back car window, email SOS at sosevents.org.
We are brought with a price
June 8, 20131 Corinthians 6:20
“For ye are bought with a price:therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
We belong to God because He bought us with His precious blood. What a price He paid so we can go to Heaven. Today and everyday glorify Him by giving thanks for so great a salvation.
When you don’t know what to do.
June 6, 2013When you don’t know what to do, wait for instructions from The Lord.
Psalm 27:14 “Wait on The Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.”
Life is Short
June 4, 2013My husband brought me a beautiful magnolia tree for my birthday. The blooms are beautiful and so lovely to see, but it saddens me that the next morning they are all brown and wilted. It reminds me that our life is short and we need to see the beauty God has given us while we have opportunity. Take time to witness for The Lord, take time to enjoy family and friends. Look around at God’s creation and Praise Him for all he has given us.
James 4:14
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
How Are You Walking?
June 2, 20132 Corinthians 5:7.(for we walk by faith, not by sight.) most people say, I’ll believe it when I see it. Faith is the opposite, you will see it when you believe it.
Our Salvation, hope of Heaven is something we cannot see, but we have it when we believe that Jesus died on the cross, paid the penalty for our sin, rose again, is now in Heaven and will return!
Have you ask Him to forgive your sins and are you walking in faith? If you are, God promises that we will see all the things He has promised if we walk in faith.
Congratulations Graduates!!
May 31, 2013Congratulations to all graduates!! High School, College and Others who have reached a goal with hard work and perseverance. This year our family has 2 high school graduates, Michael Slater and Samuel Williams, grandsons. Both are fine Christian young men who love The Lord and our prayer is that they, along with other Christian young people, will follow the path that God has planned for them. The Bible says, Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in The Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths.
