John 19:17 & 18 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Easter is less than a week away and many are getting ready. The stores are full of candy, clothes and decorations for the Easter celebrations but very little if any have anything pointing to the true meaning of Easter.
The death, burial and resurrection of The Lord and Savior, Jesus. As we prepare for time with family and friends for Easter, let us remember the true reason why we celebrate. Jesus resurrection is proof that there is life after death and we can be sure of eternal life if we accept Jesus as our Savior.
2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
What we think about controls how we live and react to every situation in our lives.
God tells us in His Word what we should think about.
If we think about things that make us not trust God, we become worried and fearful.
This one verse tells us how to overcome anxiety. Let us decide today to think on good things and ask God to help us to think about the things in this verse that will bring peace and joy into our lives.
“You can’t win everybody to the Lord, but you can always win somebody.” John R. Rice
John R. Rice was one of the greatest preachers on soul winning in times past. He was a man of few words unless he was in the pulpit but when he spoke people listened.
This quote reminds me of a story I once read about a little boy on the beach. He was throwing starfish that had washed up on shore back in the water. There were hundreds of them. An old man came along and asked the boy why he was throwing them back in the water. “You can’t save them all. You can’t even tell the difference. There are still hundreds of them.” As the little boy picked up another starfish, threw it in the water, he said, “It makes a difference to this one.”
We can make a difference, one soul at a time. Let’s go soulwinning. Don’t know how? SOS Events can help you.
And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jude 1:22
