Love One Another
February 11, 2017Rejoicing
February 10, 2017SOS Events Ministries has many reasons to rejoice. Every week at flea markets, fairs and other like events souls are saved. The wonderful thing about it is that we work as a team.
Usually one team member presents the “3 Things God Can Not Do” to an unsaved person and another soul winner tells the person how to be saved by sharing the ABC’s of salvation. God gives the increase.
If you would like to know more contact SOS: info@sosevents.org.
John 4:36 (KJV)
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
My Sheep Hear My Voice
February 9, 2017“My sheep hear my voice” is what the scripture says, not “my sheep can hear My voice” or “My sheep should hear My voice” but that they do hear His voice. Note also that God directs His voice to His sheep. He doesn’t say “My intelligent follower”, or “the popular or kind”. No, He says, “My sheep”. The sheep knows the sound, the inflection, of its shepherd’s voice. So we are to know the voice of God in our life as a Christian. How does God speak to us, His sheep? Clearly He speaks through His Word. Read it, study it, and listen to it.
John 10:3b (KJV) “…the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them… “
John 10:14 (KJV) “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”
We Need YOU!
February 8, 2017The Florida Strawberry Festival is about a month away. We are in full swing with trainings for those that would like to help share The Three Things God Cannot Do at the festival booth. A total of 132 slots need filled during the 11 days of the event. If you would like to train to help share the 3 Things please contact the ministry through our website www.sosevents.org where you are able to view the 3 Things God Cannot Do or you can go to SignUpGenius for the calendar and choose your spot.
Last year over 200 people come to know the Lord as their Savior. We are already praying for those that will work in the booth as well as those that will come by the booth to hear and trust Christ.
We are asking for your prayers and if availability and location allows you to commit to help this year we look forward to hearing from you.
Matthew 9:37 (KJV) Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Make It Personal
February 7, 2017Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.”
In life, we need the help of Christ to stay focused, so make His Word personal. Say the verse above, Colossians 3:17 by using your name and personal pronouns. An example is below.
Whatever (your name) does in word or in deed, let me do all in the name of Jesus and give thanks to God my Father through Jesus.
Transformation
February 6, 2017Being willing to let the Lord change us is an important part of our growth. In Romans 12:1-2, God tells us three things on how we can partner with Him for internal and external change. 1) Present your life, your work and your ministry to Him, 2) Don’t follow the pattern of the world, as you might miss out on the radical changes He wants for you and 3) Renew your mind. This can be done by staying in the Scriptures and praying.
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Sing Unto the Lord
February 5, 2017Psalms 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Isaiah 12:5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this [is] known in all the earth.
Psalms 104:33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Judges 5:3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.
Psalms 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Psalm 95:1-2 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Renewed Strength
February 4, 2017But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
Servanthood
February 3, 2017Yesterday at the ministry, the SOS Events Senior Servant ladies once again met to stuff, label and seal the newsletters. Praise the Lord for their faithfulness, cheerful heart and gracious spirit.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Praise of Salvation
February 2, 2017Wednesday, at the local farmer’s flea market, some of the SOS workers shared the plan of salvation using the Three Things God Cannot Do…. 1) God Cannot Lie 2) God Cannot Change and 3) God Cannot Let Anyone Into Heaven Unless They Are Born Again. Praise the Lord for the 6 people who trusted in Jesus as their Savior.
I Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
