Today, a personal testimony from cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, Carolyn Curtis. “God is so good to me, Last summer I fell and broke my hip. Recovery was quicker than usual for a woman of 80 years old. In 3 months time I was walking without a walker or cane and was able to resume my regular schedule of travel and daily routine.
The autumn activities are busy and then the Holiday season with ministry and family. What a time of activities. God gave strength through all of that with a minimal pain.
Then came January, busy in the office, the annual meeting and now Strawberry Festival preparation. Saturday and Sunday last week I prayed for strength for a very busy weekend. Hosting company from out of town, annual meeting and a wedding on the same day and cooking brunch for 18 on Sunday. No pain, energy to get everything accomplished and not even a nap. God blessed me abundantly and I just want to praise Him publicly.”
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Problems are part of life and on the SOS Events property there is an electricity problem. When working on display boards in the paint shop, David Dow, noticed sparks coming from an electric outlet. He immediately shut off the power. When the Electrician came, he gave us the bad news, all the wiring and boxes need replacement. The Office, Workshop and the Curtis home are all effected by the old dangerous system. We are thankful that God kept the property safe from fire, but this problem must be taken care of immediately. Until then all power to the workshop is shut off. Pray for additional funds will come in to pay for the repairs. Estimate $4000. SOS Events is a faith based ministry. God provides through the generosity of people who love the ministry. Please pray that the funds will come in and ask the Lord what you can do to help.
Proverbs 21:3 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
“3 Things God Can Not Do” can be used anywhere, anytime, to anybody. In this photo, Jess Page, a loyal SOS Events Leader , is witnessing to a group of people in a home he was visiting. Two people were saved. Notice the tracts on the table. Family, friends and anyone we meet will usually listen to the Gospel message when we simply ask, “Do you know the 3 Things God Can Not Do.”
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

In our Christian lives, we go through trials. It may be physical, financial, or spiritual. God does not promise a pain-free life to the Christian. He does promise that He will go through every trial with us. He tells us that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. He can use the problems we face to help others. We do not understand and sometimes even question his purpose. But God does want to use us to help others in the same type of situation. We have a choice, we can get better or bitter. Which do you choose?
Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
What if, just for one hour, one day, one week Jesus took your place in your schedule and walked in your shoes? What if you were not given notice in order to make adjustments for a more perfect schedule? What if Jesus went to the places you go to and spoke to the people you acquaint yourself with using the language you use? What if Jesus greeted your family in the same tone you greet them after coming home from a days work?
What if?
I hope He would be pleased with who you are and you would not be bothered by letting Him trade places with you.
We know this would never happen because Jesus cannot sin. However, What if Jesus walked in our path with His heart? Would people see a difference?
“We ought to be living as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back this afternoon.” – Adrian Rogers
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? I Thessalonians 2:19
3) Call upon the Lord. Romans 10:13
Pray: Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. I ask that you forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive you as my Savior. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
