Thankful for Those Who Labor for the Lord

Today is Labor Day, a day set aside to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers. It has been celebrated as a national holiday since 1894 and reminds us to appreciate those whose work helps make our country and communities stronger.

On this Labor Day, I especially want to say THANK YOU to all those who labor with SOS Events Ministry.

First, I am thankful for our leaders who faithfully serve, encourage others, organize events, and help keep the ministry moving forward.

I am thankful for our staff, who work behind the scenes every day. Much of what they do may never be seen by others, but it is so important to the work of the ministry.

And I am thankful for our wonderful volunteers—those who give their time to go to fairs, festivals, flea markets, churches, and other events to share the Gospel. Some set up displays, some pray, some witness, some help in the office, and others serve wherever they are needed.

Every person has an important part. Whether your work is seen by many or known only to the Lord, your labor for Him matters.

The greatest reward is seeing people come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. What a privilege it is to labor together for something that has eternal value!

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV

On this Labor Day, thank you to every leader, staff member, volunteer, prayer partner, supporter, and friend who has a part in SOS Events Ministry.
