Honor Your Mother!

***Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee***. Exodus 20:12

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. If you are fortunate to have your mother still with you, then honor her in a special way.

Mothers like to hear from their grown children. A phone call, a card or a gift to show your appreciation would be a good way to honor her.

If you are a husband and your children are small, think of a way you can honor your wife for blessing you with children. Have the children make her a special card or craft. Take her out to dinner or cook dinner for her.

If your mother has gone on to be with the Lord, then honor her memory by thinking of the Lord for your mom.

Wives Love Your Husband!

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:21-22

Mothers, what is the best thing you can do for your children? Love your husband. Children will feel secure. You will provide a happy home for them.

A Virtuous Woman!

As Mother’s Day approaches, we will look at what the Bible says about women. The first verse that comes to mind is Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

A virtuous woman has a gentle and quiet spirit which is precious in God’s sight. She is humble and not aggressive; her emotions are spirit controlled. She understands that being peaceful is not a weakness; rather it is putting into use the feminine power that God bestowed upon her at creation.

Pray for your Mother. Be thankful for her.

Men pray for your wife that she will have that meek and quiet spirit.

Women: pray that you will become that virtuous woman in your family’s eyes but more importantly in God’s.

Alabama SOS Team Blessings!

May 9, 2023

Members from 6 area churches shared the gospel at the Moulton Strawberry Festival in Alabama. Seventy-nine people came for counseling on salvation. Thirty-one were for assurance and 48 prayed to receive Jesus as their personal savior. Thanks to the city of Moulton for planning a great festival.

Here are two teenagers who prayed to receive Jesus as their personal savior at the Gardendale Magnolia Festival. We also counseled with those who had doubts, providing assurance of salvation.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

Teen Teaching Younger Children!

William Watson, Carolyn Curtis great grandson.

William Watson is Carolyn Curtis great grandson. Third generation to use the “3 Things God Can Not Do” to win others to the Lord.

William had opportunity on Sunday to teach in Junior Church at his church in Appomattox, Virginia.

Praise the Lord for teens who are serving Jesus by telling others the plan of salvation.

1 Timothy 4:12 – Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Looking For Jesus!

Have you ever been excited about a special guest or loved one coming to your house?

You prepare by cleaning, cooking and making sure everything is ready. maybe you don’t know the exact time when they will arrive. Looking out the window, listening for every car or footstep to make sure you are there to greet them.

Christian, that is how much more should we be excited about Jesus coming again. The Bible tells us He is coming in the clouds. We do not know the day or hour but He is coming and it may be soon.

Are you preparing? Is your heart clean from sin? Every area in your life has been given to Him.

Are you reading the Bible everyday, praying and looking for Jesus to come with anticipation?

Jesus is coming. Are you ready?
