Tool or Toy

July 6, 2015

“Are you a tool for God or a toy for Satan?”

This a quote from one of the Benham brothers on Dr. Charles Stanley’s TV program IN TOUCH. The Benham brothers have a powerful Christhian testimony. They stand against abortion and gay marriage and it cost them a great contract with HGTV. Their program was about flipping houses and helping families that could not afford to own a house have the ability to purchase a home.

HGTV cancelled the contract after pressure from the liberals. The brothers acted with a CHRISTIAN attitude and thanked HGTV for the opportunity and did not get angry or retaliate in any way.

Then they learned that the financial  institution which finances all their real estate business was going to pull all the loans and contracts ruining their successful real estate business. Once again the brothers reacted in a Godly way. They would not change their CHRISTIAN beliefs for fame or money. “It’s in God’s hands” was their remarks.

After much pressure from the conservative Christians who do business with the bank that handles all the real estate deals, the bank changed and decided to continue financing the Benham brothers business.

Thank the Lord for young men who will stand up for what they believe.

This story shows how far our country has come in taking away our rights as CHRISTIANS. If we value our freedom given to American citizens by the Constitution we must stand up for our rights.

Enough people contacted that bank and the decision was reversed. We must stand and do what needs to be done in a Christlike manner and then allow God to bring the Victory.

Ephesians 6:7 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Forgiveness

June 25, 2015

“God sometimes uses things he hates to accomplish things he loves.”

This is a quote from one of the granddaughters of a man that was murdered in   Charleston, SC. What a testimony to the world of how a Christian should react to tragedy.

The families of the 9 people who were shot by an evil young man have shown love and forgiveness to the one who killed their loved ones. They have followed the example of JESUS who when He was dying on the cross said, “Father, forgive them.”

Luke 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

A True Friend

May 1, 2015

Friendship in life is so important. Good friends are one of the blessings in life. CHRISTIANS have a friend that loves us unconditionally, walks with us continually and helps us constantly. JESUS is that friend.

If you do not have Him as your friend ask Him to come into your life today. He loves you just as you are and is waiting to be your friend.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

JESUS Cares for You

April 23, 2015

For a Christian the promises of God in the Bible are a great comfort and blessing. If the trials and cares of this world seem to hard to overcome, remember we have a Savior, JESUS Christ, who is waiting to carry your burden because He loves you.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Witness for JESUS

March 22, 2015

JESUS came into the world to die on the cross so people could be saved from the penalty of their sins. His love for us is beyond our comprehension.

His will for those of us who are saved is to tell others of His great love and give them the plan of salvation. Many Christians do not witness. Fear is probably the biggest reason they do not tell others. SOS Events simple method the “3 Things God CanNot Do” helps to take away fear and excuses. SOS has tools, training, tracts and tactics to help anyone become a witness for Christ. All it takes is an email: info@sosevents.org or a phone call 813-784-8242 if you need help to become a soul winner.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.  Luke 19:10

D. L. Moody Quote

March 21, 2015

“You may find hundreds of faultfinders among professed Christians; but all their criticism will not lead one solitary soul to Christ.” D.L. Moody

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  Galatians 5:22-23

Testimony of Faithful SOS Events Team Leader

March 19, 2015

Patty

“The month of March is such a God thing for me – physical birth 3/17/72; spiritual birth 3/1978; spiritual rededication and rebaptism 3/2012; giving me the desires of my heart in 3/2014 when I trained to become a missionary for SOS Events AND received the most amazingly flexible and mission friendly job in the world! I am blessed beyond belief with the relationships God has placed in my life – my sweet husband and children and encouraging extended physical and spiritual family. My journey on this earth is a testament to the grace and faithfulness of God – and my prayer is that He would choose to continue to use such a dirty and broken vessel like me to keep sharing about Him, His Son and His Holy Spirit. May God bless you, your family and your ministry until Jesus comes back – which I pray is quick!” Patty Mills

Luke 10:27
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Consider the Ant

January 10, 2015

The ant is a remarkable creature–
The most laborious insects in existence. The most highly industrialized. They collect food in proper seasons. Fondly attached to their young. They have keen foresight for others. They work quietly without show. They work tirelessly until the work is done. They work together in astonishing systems of organization to the best good of the whole community. They are ingenious carpenters and masons, building their own system of homes and underground tunnels. They keep their homes scrupulously clean. Each has a specific job to help meet the needs of the community. They fight to death to protect their own homes and young from enemies. Their social life compares with that of human beings in many respects. They are intelligent and wise. They carry out life’s work without being forced to do so by a guide, overseer, or ruler.
In our lives we have people like the ant and we also have people like sluggards. That is true especially in ministry. SOS Events are blessed to have many people who are like the ant. Willing to do whatever it takes to see souls saved.
There are a few who say they want to work but when asked to do something they always find an excuse.
In the work of the Lord, which one are you?

Proverbs 6:6-7
Go to the ant, thou sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Provideth her meat in the summer,
and gathereth her food in the harvest.

SAD

January 7, 2015

Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD is the medical term for lack of natural sunlight. In the Northern hemisphere we are now in the winter season, the time of year that SAD becomes a problem.
Most parts of the world have three low-sunlight seasons. Some people have proved more susceptible to Seasonal Affective Disorder. Those with higher risk factors include women, those who live farthest from the equator (Eskimos, for example) and those whose family histories include members who have suffered from seasonal affective issues. This causes physical,
mental disorders and depression, and should be taken seriously. It could reach feelings of isolation, coupled with severe hopelessness and, perhaps, suicidal thoughts. Doctors suggest artificial light, extra vitamin D and even medication for depression.
SAD is a good acronym for this disorder. There is additional “treatment” that should help in any situation. The Christian already has the answer and the unbeliever needs to know. Jesus said that He is the light of the world. If you are a Christian then look to Him for spiritual light. If you do not know Him as your Savior, ask Him to come into your heart and life today. He will help you get through times of sadness.

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
