What Are You Looking For At Church?

October 26, 2025

If you go to church looking to become offended, you’ll succeed.

If you go to church looking for places where people fall short, you’ll find them. If you go to church looking for imperfection,
you’ll see it.

But if you go to church looking for an opportunity to worship alongside broken people (just like you), you’ll find it.

If you go to church looking for a place to serve,
you’ll find one.

If you go to church to love people like Jesus,
you can.

Look for Jesus!

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Pray For More Volunteers With SOS Events

October 23, 2025

Jesus tells us in His Word that there are people who are ready to hear the Gospel and respond, BUT there are not enough volunteers to go and tell the lost about salvation.

That was true in Jesus time and it is true today. He will equip volunteers to go. He gives the Holy Spirit power to the ones who are willing to go.

SOS Events is a wonderful way to share the Gospel in a simple non confrontational way. Many volunteers are needed.

SOS Events trains, and has teams that go together to events. Please pray and ask God what He would have you to do. Will you come and work in the fields (events) with us?

Friendship!

October 22, 2025

Friends! Friends are so important! A true friend loves you at all times. Forgives when you may hurt them. Stands by you in good times and bad times.

If you have even one friend that is like that you are blessed. If you have several friends you are very blessed.

There is One friend who loves us more than any earthly friend ever could. His name is Jesus! He will never leave us. Never disappoints us. No friend on earth is like Him. 24/7 every day.

If you do not know Him as your friend, He is waiting to welcome you with open arms. All you need to do is ask Him to be your Savior and friend.

Personal Testimony!

October 10, 2025
1. Hurricane Milton, 2. Car totaled. 3. Broken ankle 4. Teeth removed

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in meJohn 14:37

It has been 1 year since Hurricane Milton hit Florida and the SOS Events home office. The damage to the property took several months to clean up and repair the damaged that that the hurricane caused.

Finally, things were getting back to normal, when I went to lunch with my daughter. I had left my car parked in her yard. When we got back, a tree from her neighbor’s yard fell on my car and totaled it.

Shortly after that, I had a dizzy, spell, fainted and broke my ankle. That was the last day in May and I am just recovering from that right now. I finally can walk without assistance and I am praising the Lord for that.

About 10 days ago, I was in severe pain in my teeth and my jaw and had to have two of my back teeth removed and surgery. I am recovering from that and I’m so thankful that God has given us bodies that heal.

Through it all, Jesus has been with me. He is my constant companion. When anybody asks me how things are going, I always say, “God is so good..”

To sum it up, it’s been a hard year, but my heart is not troubled because I believe that Jesus is the answer to all problems we have.

I am looking forward to new beginnings for SOS Events and for me personally.

Let Go! Let God!

October 6, 2025

Have you ever felt overwhelmed? Defeated? Alone? Afraid?

In all of these situations, we have someone that cares for us and loves us deeply. Jesus wants us to cast all our cares, whatever they may be on Him.

So today when you feel like you have no place to turn, let go and let God.

God’s Great Love!

October 3, 2025

Look at the reference: 1 John 3:16. It reminds me of a verse that we see a lot, John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Both verses tell us about God’s love, but more importantly they tell us of Jesus, who came down from His Heavenly Home to become a man, was crucified, buried and 3 days later arose from the dead.

Why? Because He loves you and me so much He was willing to give His life that we can have eternal life.

Have you experienced Jesus love for you?

Give Thanks!

October 2, 2025

It isn’t Thanksgiving Day until next month, but our Lord Jesus deserves our thanks every day.

Jesus has been good, Jesus is good and Jesus will always be good to us forever,

Thank you, Jesus, for your mercy and Grace to me.

God Supplies The Needs Of His Children!

September 14, 2025

God can supply all that we need. The key to this verse is My God. He supplies the needs of His children.

We are not automatically His child. We need to admit that we have sinned. Believe that He provided a way to have all our sins forgiven. He sent Jesus to take our sin upon Himself when He died on the cross, was buried and on the third day He arose.

If we truly believe in Jesus, ask for forgiveness, be willing to repent of your sins, then we are born again and become His child.

Then this verse becomes reality He does provide all we need.

Jesus Is Our Anchor

September 12, 2025

When storms of life threaten us we do not have to struggle to keep afloat alone.

Just as an anchor keeps a boat from being destroyed, Jesus is the anchor we need to weather the storm.

He waits for us to call on Him in times of trouble.

Today’s Bible Verse!

If you feel lost and in a dark place, God’s Word will direct you to go in the right direction.

Jesus is the light!
