Jesus Is With Me

***Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.*** Hebrews 13:5

This beautiful old hymn reminds me that Jesus is with me always.

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The son of God discloses

And he walks with me and he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of his voice
Is so sweet, the birds hush their singing
And the melody that he gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

He does walk with me and He does talk to me in the quietness of the early morning when I read His word and communicate with Him through prayer.

Good Morning! Have A Great Day!

Most of us start our day with a cup of coffee. The most important way to start our mornings though, is to spend it with Jesus. We must not neglect to read His Word and pray. That is a perfect way to start our day along with the coffee.

Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God Is In Control!

We like to be in control of everything in our lives. Fear comes when we are in a situation that we can do nothing about. That is where some of us are right now.

On a prayer list from a group of Christians were many requests. Illness of a family member, unrest in our Country, loss of jobs and many other concerns.

That is where faith is important. God is in control. He knows what we are going through. Sickness, death, uncertainty. Now is the time to turn to Him for peace, comfort and most of all trust.

Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.

Ranburne Rodeo in Alabama

SOS Events Ministry at the Ranburne Rodeo Friday night.

This Little fella came up holding his tract and just hopped up in the chair and looked at David like hey explain this to me :

This was the first time they had had this rodeo in this location. June in Alabama is super hot and dry. Reminded me of the scripture about sowing seeds on rocky ground and that’s just what we did.

We spoke to over 100 people at the “3 Things God Cannot Do”board.

So we plant seeds, someone else waters and God gives the increase. Sharing the Gospel is what we are called to do and we will keep on going for the Glory of God.

⁶And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. ⁷And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: ⁸But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. ⁹Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. ^{Matthew 13:6-9}

What Is The Answer To Eternal Life?

The Jesus is the Life Saver. The only way to Eternal Life!

Christian, we have the answer to the question, “What can a person do to have everlasting life?”

It is the gospel, Jesus died on the cross, was buried and 3 days later He arose. He was the sacrifice for our sins. Accept Him and you will have eternal life.

Are you telling others of this wonderful news?

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Giants In Our Life!

Sometimes we have things in our lives that are overwhelming. Problems, illness, relationships, sin and other things that seem impossible to overcome. Can the giant in your life be defeated? Absolutely!

Remember David and Goliath. David was young and only a Shepard but he had faith that God would defeat Goliath, this 9 foot tall giant. Armed with a slingshot and five stones and faith he killed the giant that plagued Israel. God brought the victory.

You can have victory in your life over and “giant” you are facing. Give it to the Lord, have faith and victory can be yours.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Cure For Shot Nerves!

Thinking of something to encourage those who read this blog, I chose a book on hymns, “Then Sings My Soul” by Robert J. Morgan.
He wrote a forward “The Cure For Shot Nerves”. Thinking that is a catchy title, I read what he wrote about how the old hymns can calm the spirit and help bring peace to the soul.

It is rare in some churches to even hear the old hymns anymore and that is sad.
“In the Garden” He walks with me/ and He talks with me/ and tells me I am His own.
“Jesus Loves Me”, “Amazing Grace”, “I Need Thee Every Hour” and many more that encourage the heart.

Today, if you are stressed, feeling overwhelmed, or just plan discouraged, think of your favorite hymn and sing it, hum it or just let it flood your mind with how good God is, and soon you will find the comfort you need.

Revival Is Needed Today!

“When may a revival be expected? When the wickedness of the wicked grieves and distresses the Christian.”
This is a quote by the famous evangelist, Billy Sunday.

If you don’t know who he was, look him up on the web. He had a tremendous testimony and led thousands to Christ back in the early 1900’s.

If America ever needed revival it is today. SOS Events wants to be a leader in Revival for America.
You can be a part of revival by telling someone about Jesus today.
