The biggest attraction at the Strawberry Festival for some people is strawberry shortcake. This couple got something much better! Salvation. JESUS said to come to Him and we shall never hunger or thirst.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
The Alabama Team Leaders with SOS Events Ministry met for lunch on Saturday, February 10, to make plans for events coming up this year.
These leaders are excited for the season for events to begin.
The Alabama Team came together from the beginning of the ministry.
Dale and Dorothy Brown, who worked along with Tom and Carolyn Curtis even before SOS Events was founded, have been the head of the Alabama Team since the beginning, are now moving on to a new beginning for them. They are moving to Colorado in the Spring.
The Alabama Team will continue to grow and expand under the capable leadership of Wes and Beth Walker.
Also, opportunity for a new team in Colorado!
Please join with us in prayer for the Alabama Team!

Colossians 3:23 – And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
One of the Bible stories known by many people is the story of Noah.
Noah was a righteous man in a wicked generation. He obeyed God and built an ark to save his family and the animals from the great flood that the Lord had sent to cleanse the earth.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Hebrews 11:7
What isa hero? A hero is someone who gives of himself, often putting his own life at great risk, for the greater good of others.
We are going to look at the lives of the heroes in the Bible in the next week or two. There are many. Just ordinary people doing extraordinary things through faith, obedience and power of God.
The best place to start is in the book of Hebrews, where a list of heroes is found.
Sometimes we get discouraged and look at our life negatively. In the Bible, David, had a lot of reasons to be discouraged. His Brothers treated him with no respect, Saul tried to kill him, and he had many enemies. But, he encouraged himself, went on to become king and was a man after God’s heart. Not a perfect man, but a good example for us.
So today, whatever your problem, encourage yourself to do right, look to God for the answer and you will have a happier, healthier life.
1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
One week until Christmas Day! Are we so busy that we forget the most important thing we need to do this season and everyday?
That is to Praise the Lord in everything. If we are not doing that, we have missed what Christmas is all about.
God sent His Son, the LORD JESUS to be born. Not as King but as a lowly baby, to grow up and die on the cross for payment for our sin. That alone is worthy of all our praise.
Then our daily blessings. Too many to even count. So stop today and right now give Him the praise He deserves. Take time from your business to honor the One who give you everything.
SOS Events is blessed to have a group of dedicated ladies come every month to volunteer by helping to put together the “Life Saver News” newsletter for mailing.
The first Thursday in December they work in the morning and then we celebrate Christmas with food, fellowship and fun.
Some of these ladies have been doing this for many years and others are new, but they are all loved and appreciated.
Thank you my friends for your faithfulness.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
