What is SOS Events?

SOS Events is a ministry started to reach people, to do what God commands and spread the gospel.

The Bible teaches there is only ONE WAY to get to Heaven:

A. Admit that you have sinned. “For All have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. Romans 3:23
B. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans10:9b
C. Call upon the Lord. “For whosoever (you) shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
PRAY:
Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins, I ask that you forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive you as my Savior. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
If you do these things you will go to Heaven.

SOS means Serving Our Savior.

God called Tom and Carolyn Curtis, founders of SOS Events, to evangelize the USA. They have committed their lives to the Lord full time.

Who do you know that needs to be born again? What have you done to tell that person how to be saved? Salvation comes by hearing the Word of God. God provided the method and the tools to reach people through SOS Events.

SOS trainers teach churches, youth groups and all ages of people how to invest their time serving God which is our “reasonable service.”

After many years of leading people to salvation, SOS needs much prayer, financial support and committed people to partner with us, to lead friends, neighbors and people at events to salvation.

If you have a friend or relative who is unsaved, give SOS a way to contact them and we will do our best to get the gospel to them. Better, yet, SOS can teach you how to be a better witness and through the Holy Spirit you could be the one to lead them to Christ.

Bo Henry and a small group of workers set up a tent at a “Health Fair.” 15 people were saved in just 6 hours. This was a Spanish ministry. Some of the workers were bi-lingual. Praise the Lord. SOS has the “3 Things” Tracts in several languages. Contact SOS if you would like tracts.

There was a woman, who had been watching the booth from a way off, and when we least expected it, she bypassed the sign “See 3 things God Can not Do” walked right around it and sat down at the soul winners table.  She said, “I have to know this!” She had tears in her eyes. Apparently she knew the woman at the table when their children were little. She accepted Christ and was thrilled.

Praise the Lord for every soul that comes to know Jesus at an event. SOS Events sees many souls saved through the Power of the Holy Spirit, who uses trained workers that  work at an event. Pray for the new Christians who have been saved.

Atlanta, GA  4:30 Friday afternoon. If you have been there you know the traffic is terrific. Tom and Carolyn Curtis were on I 75 at that time driving a 36 foot motor home, towing a car when the brakes went out. No brakes, traffic in all lanes and all traffic ahead at standstill. What did they do? Prayed.  Just as they approached the traffic it began to move. Carolyn prayed, “Lord, give us a gap.” And He gave them a miracle. No traffic for at least 100 feet ahead of them as they traveled for several miles. Tom prayed for a way to get off the highway as the cars would not let him over to the shoulder. Finally there was a break, just where a  mechanic was fixing a vehicle that had broken down. Does God answer prayer? Yes. The repair man told Tom where to go to get the problem fixed but by now it is almost 5 o’clock. The place was still open and the young man (a new believer) told Tom he would see if he could get a mechanic in on Saturday. By Saturday afternoon and $1000 later, the motor home was repaired and Tom and Carolyn were on their way to the next stop, North Carolina. God is so good.

God brings increase on the grounds of SOS Events!  Tom had the opportunity to share “The Three Things God Cannot Do” with a worker on the grounds. This young man accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. To add to this blessing, his father, already a Christian, was with his son. They rejoiced together.

Tom & Carolyn Curtis while traveling through NC stopped for the night at a KOA campground. In the morning Tom decided to go and tell the owner Chris about the 3 Things God Can Not Do. She had never heard about the things God can’t do so was interested. When Tom asked her if she was 50, 75 or 100% sure if she would go to heaven, she did not know. “You can Know” Tom told her and led her to the Lord. What a blessing that no matter where we are we have opportunity to lead people to Christ.

Last week we had a wonderful experience in the home office. Our administrator dropped off some work to us and she brought her son and his friend with her. Tom asked the teenagers if they knew what we do. Of course, her son did but his friend had no idea.

Tom showed him the “3 things God Can Not Do” and he gladly trusted Christ as his Savior. We are so thankful that wherever we are God uses us to win souls. SOS is an exciting ministry because we see so many people saved as well as Christians that learn to lead others to the Lord.
