Obedient or Embarrassed?
September 21, 2012One of these days some simple soul will pick up the Bible, read it and believe it. Then the rest of us will be embarrassed we have adopted the convenient theory that the Bible is a Book to be explained, whereas first and foremost it is a Book to be believed and after that to be obeyed.

Senior Servants at SOS Headquaters
September 7, 2012On the first Thursday of each month a group of ladies meet at SOS to help with various projects. This month there were 13 in attendence and all worked to get out the current newsletter.
After a morning of work, there is always lunch provided and a time of prayer and fellowship.
We look forward every month to this time together and will always welcome new participants if you live in Florida around the Tampa Bay area.
The ladies come from different churches and different towns.
Their work is greatly appreciated by SOS staff and we know the Lord will richly bless these Senior Servants.
Please keep all of them in prayer as well as our staff.
New Convert Home With The Lord
August 29, 2012About a month ago Tom and Carolyn were in Pocahontas, IA were several people came to know the Lord. Tom preached in a little church on Sunday and 2 people received the Lord.
One was a lady whose name was Lois. She was so excited. The Pastor reported that she had received her Bible studies through the mail (all new converts get Bible studies through SOS).
She was not only doing the studies but invited an unsaved relative to do them with her.
Then while out driving she had an accident and was killed instantly.
Praise the Lord she is now in Heaven. Thank the Lord for the opportunities He gives to bring people to the Lord.
The Bible says that life is but a vapor. We must tell everyone we can about salvation because we do not know when their last day will be.
Soul Winning Feedback
August 18, 2012After ordering some new supplies from the company we usually order from, I received this email:
Hello Carolyn,
Hope all is well and thank you for the order. I was very pleased last time I got to speak with Tom on the phone and made your news letter and the bible Tom sent me. I even took pictures to show my friends and family. Your order should ship tomorrow. Do you guys use the online studio that we offer, I would be glad to give you a year for free to it if you use it.

Adam was saved on the phone 2 years ago after we placed our first order with his company. He sent pictures of the Bible we sent him and also the note Tom wrote as well as the portion of the newsletter that we printed about him.
Sometimes people ask, “Can someone be saved in just a few minutes with the “3 Things God Can Not Do” method of soul winning. Adam was, as well as hundreds and thousands of others who have prayed and wrote out testimonies on the back of decision cards.

August 6, 2012After a very successful trip to the Midwest Tom and Carolyn rejoice to be back in Florida where the weather is much cooler. They marvel that Florida temperatures are about 10 degrees less than Iowa and Indiana.
A total of 45 souls came to know the Lord as they traveled and many old friendships were renewed.
Several young people are now in full time ministry or preparing for the ministry from their previous visit in 2005. It is always a joy to know that God uses SOS ministry to change lives.
Two ways you can be in prayer for the churches and people. First pray that the new Christians will be grounded in God’s Word through Bible study and prayer, also that they will join a local church in their area. Then pray for rain in the Midwest. The crops, especially corn has dried up due to lack of rain. The farmers are really hurting and need your prayers.for rain and for God to become real in their lives. The pastors and congregations have opportunity to show love and compassion on their neighbors in this time of need.

Randy and Joyce Mlinek have been leading an evangelism team (with Jane and Cari) over the past 6 weeks working an SOS Events presence at several locations including the Webster and Auburndale flea markets. I had the pleasure of working with this team at Webster, Florida this Monday, where 27 people made decisions for Christ and two people prayed to renew their commitment to Christ. What a joy to share Jesus with others and see a new work by the Holy Spirit begin in the hearts of so many different people. Since April this team has seen 177 people receive salvationAll praise, honor and glory to Him!
